Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 12 - Drop Stitch Cowl

Being a little foresighted I didn't let myself be (totally) swept along by the thrill of spring and I've made a last knit cowl with warm wool.

The pattern is  Drop Stitch Cowl  by  Abi Gregorio and I had it among my favorites in Ravelry a long time ago.

It is a very easy and quick to make project (I finished it in one weekend) and I like it that much that I will surely make it in more colours.

Mis tiendas favoritas de Etsy / My favorite Etsy shops # 4 - Memi the Rainbow

It's been a long time since I last updated this section, but today I am back with one of my favorite Etsy shops: Memi the Rainbow.

There you can find hand carved rubber stamps made by Patricia who gets inspiration from kawaii world and cartoons. The result are very pretty and high quality stamps perfect to decorate stationery, gifts or even clothes.

I already have a piece of Memi the Rainbow universe at home as last summer I was the lucky winner of a giveaway she organised in her blog.

So, if you like playing with stamps and ink as much as I do, don't miss the opportunity to take a look at her shop, you will love it.

Some time ago a colleague from work asked me to make her some amigurumi puppets as she really liked them.

Her first choice was a couple of penguins that I finished a few weeks ago and recently I made her a couple of amigurumi hedgehogs with a slight "afro" look (specially the little one).

The pattern is from the book Amigurumi World: Seriously Cute Crochet  by  Ana Paula Rimoli which is full of wee animals and charming things to do.

Cosas que me gustan / Things I like # 15 - Stevie Fingerless Gloves

Lately I've been quite excited about spring thinking about the sun and nice weather, but I couldn't resist these so pretty mittens from  Knit Collage.

You already know that I am an unconditional fan of their yarn, so I can't think of a better way to protect our hands from cold weather while, like in the picture, we drink a hot coffee...

Proyectos en curso / Work in progress

Since I have yoypunto crochet hook I've been looking for a project to use it, so inspired by the good weather of these days and the idea of spring scarves I have started making a crochet snood.

As soon as I finish it I will show you the result.

Spring is almost here but this doesn't mean that we have to give up wearing a scarf, because this garment is not only for fighting against cold.

We can choose a lighter yarn and continue wearing them as an accesory or simply because we like the feeling of having our neck covered.

A good choice can be a scarf knitted with ribbon. The result is a very light scarf with an elegant touch due to the small frills it is made of. If additionally we choose a fetching colour like this lavanda tone, we will have the perfect accessory for this spring.

Cosas que me gustan / Things I like # 14 - Oversize Open Front Cardigan

Before the arrival of autumn it was a maxi scarf and now that spring is coming I have put my eye on this pretty oversize knitted cardigan in mint color.

A clear example of a very easy to knit garment which is really outstanding.

And now the dilemma... should I knit it or not?

Pequeños caprichos confesables / Little confessable whims: Veo Veo Magazine

Last friday when I came back home from work I found a very nice surprise in my mailbox: the last issue of  Veo Veo Magazine (which included a nice little gift: a beautiful crochet hook from yoypunto and a membership card for the  Club Veo Veo ).

I decided to subscribe at the beginning of february as I was I little sad that their crowdfunding initiative for  movimiento manos inquietas didn't get ahead.

So, this weekend I have enjoyed reading it carefully and I got a lot of ideas of projects I would love to make someday.

I am already looking forward to May so I can have the next issue...
