Teje tu propio - jersey inspiración Sézane / Knit your own - Sézane inspired sweater

 

Hace unos meses os contaba cómo cada vez que veo una prenda de punto que me gusta mucho tengo la tentación de intentar tejerla y esto es algo que me ocurre a menudo con los preciosos jerséis de la marca francesa Sézane.

La verdad es que como tejedora me parece muy entretenido encontrar ideas similares y, casi por casualidad, he dado con el patrón "Elna T-shirt"  de Novita Knits  que bien podría ser una alternativa perfecta para tejer una versión hecha a mano del jersey de punto "Marceau"  de la colección de primavera de Sézane  del año pasado.

Obviamente es imposible que el resultado sea el mismo pero no hay que olvidar que en la moda es muy importante experimentar y esta podría ser la  ocasión perfecta para hacerlo.

¿Qué os parece mi propuesta? 

A couple of months ago I told you how each time I see a knit garment that I like a lot I am tempted to trying to knit it and this is something that happens quite often to me with  Sézane brand beautiful sweaters.

Actually as a knitter I find quite entertaining finding similar ideas and, almost by chance, I stumbled upon  "Elna T-shirt" pattern by Novita Knits that could perfectly be the ideal alternative to knit a handmade version of the  "Marceau" knit sweater from last year's Sézane spring collection.

Obviously it is impossible that the result is the same but it is importan not to forget that in fashion it is very important to experiment and this could be the perfect occasion to do it.

How do you find my proposal?

Beret No. 1

Después de tejer mi primera boina de estilo francés, no he podido resistirme a repetir el patrón de My Favorite Things Knitwear  para añadir otra boina más a mis accesorios de invierno.

Esta vez he escogido el color rojo porque me parece que representa perfectamente el estilo parisino y es todo un clásico.

El acabado es un poco más gordito que el de la boina lila porque he utilizado alpaca peinada en lugar de mohair y me parece una opción muy buena para conseguir una boina más abrigada y con más cuerpo.

Estoy tan enganchada a este patrón y a las boinas que las tejería en todos los colores pero, de momento, voy a centrarme en otros proyectos e intentar resistirme hasta después del verano.

¿Alguien más es fan de las boinas?

After knitting  my first French style beret, I couldn't resist repeating the pattern by  My Favorite Things Knitwear to add another beret to my winter accesories.

This time I chose red colour because I think it represents perfectly the Parisian style and it is such a classic.

The finishing is a little bit thicker than the one of the lilac beret because I have used brushed alpaca instead of mohair and I think it is a very good choice to get a warmer and more solid beret.

I am so hooked on this pattern and berets that I would knit them in every colour but, at the moment, I am going to focus in other projects and try to resist until the end of summer.

Anyone else is a fan of berets?

Cuando hice mi selección para el desafío "Make Nine Challenge"  de este año uno de los proyectos que más ilusión me hacía era la boina de estilo francés "Beret No. 1"  de My Favorite Things Knitwear y, lógicamente, ha sido el primer proyecto en caer en mis agujas.

Todo empezó la primavera pasada cuando sin saber muy bien por qué me di cuenta de que me encantaban las boinas y necesitaba una a toda costa. Así que, antes de comprarme una, decidí que iba a intentar tejer una a mi gusto y encontrar este patrón fue toda una suerte.

En realidad el proceso ha sido una mezcla de curiosidad e incertidumbre porque una cosa es tejer un patrón correctamente y otra muy distinta que quede bien al llevarlo pero, por suerte, en este caso el resultado ha sido perfecto.

Ahora sólo tengo que practicar el arte de llevar una boina con estilo, ¿algún consejo?

When I made my selection for this year's  "Make Nine Challenge" one of the projects I was more excited to make was the french style  "Beret No. 1" by  My Favorite Things Knitwear and, as a result, it was the first project to fall on my needles.

Everything started last spring when without any obvious reason I realised that I loved berets and that I needed one no matter what. So, before buying one, I decided that I was going to custom knit one for me and finding this pattern was such a fortune.

Actually the process has been a mixture of curiosity and uncertainty because one thing is knitting a pattern correctly and another completely different is that it looks well to wear but, luckily, in this case the result is perfect.

Now I only have to practice the art of wearing a beret with style, any tips?

Retro Style Knit Turban

A principios de noviembre os hablaba de un DIY de Marie Claire Idées  que me había gustado mucho y ahora, tres meses después, puedo decir que lo he terminado y que ha sido el primero de los proyectos del desafío "Make Nine Challenge"  que he tachado de mi lista.

Para tejerlo escogí unos ovillos de DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk  en color caramelo porque me pareció que era el hilo más parecido al que proponían en el patrón. Viendo el resultado creo que he acertado con esta elección aunque he tenido que tejerlo con doble hebra para que tuviera el acabado adecuado.

La idea en sí es muy fácil de tejer pero el montaje del turbante me ha parecido un poco complicado y, de hecho, no estoy segura de haberlo hecho correctamente... 

En cualquier caso, estoy muy contenta con mi turbante de estilo retro y, por si alguien se anima a tejerlo, mi consejo es que para montarlo os lo probéis a medida que lo vayáis cosiendo para aseguraros de que queda como os gusta.


At the beginning of november I told you about a DIY by  Marie Claire Idées which I liked a lot and now, three months after, I can say that I have finished it and that it is the first of the projects from the  "Make Nine Challenge" I have ticked off from my list.

To knit it I chose some skeins of  DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk in caramel colour as I thought it was the most similar yarn to the one proposed in the pattern. Considering the result I think I made the right decision although I had to knit it with two strands of yarn in order to get the suitable finishing.

The idea itself is very easy to knit but I found the assembly of the turban a little bit complicated and, actually, I am not sure I have made it correctly...

Anyhow, I am very happy with my retro style knit turban and, if anyone wants to knit it, my advice is that to assemble it you try it on as you sew it so you are sure that you get the result you want.

French Market Bag

Hace casi un mes os hablaba de mi primer proyecto del verano y ahora por fin puedo enseñaros el resultado.

Como ya os expliqué entonces, se trataba de uno de los bolsos de ganchillo que seleccioné como inspiración el año pasado (y que por falta de tiempo no pude hacer) así que ahora estoy más que contenta de haberlo terminado.

De las cinco ideas que os proponía, he escogido el patrón "French Market Bag"  de Two of Wands  porque me encanta su diseño de estilo francés (tal y como su nombre indica) y porque me parece perfecto para utilizar en verano.

Para hacer la bolsa he utilizado parte de unos ovillos de "Phildar Amazone"  que tenía en mi stash  desde hace años y el proceso ha sido bastante fácil y entretenido por lo que me parece que es un proyecto muy interesante para quienes estén empezando con el ganchillo.

Si os gustan este tipo de bolsas de ganchillo mi consejo es no tardéis tanto como yo en empezar a hacer la vuestra... ¡Os va a encantar!

P.D: Los ovillos "gigantes" que asoman por la bolsa también son de Phildar  y los compré el verano pasado en Burdeos

Almost one month ago  I told you about my first summer project and now I can finally show you the result.

As I already explained then, it was one of the crochet bags I chose as inspiration last year (and which I couldn't make due to the lack of time) so now I am more than happy for finishing it.

From the five ideas I suggested, I chose "French Market Bag"  by  Two of Wands because I love its french style design (just as its name implies) and because I think it is perfect for using during the summer.

To make the bag I have used some  "Phildar Amazone" balls I had in my stash since some years ago and the process was quite quickly and entertaining so I find it is a very interesting project for those who are starting crocheting.

If you like this kind of crochet bags my advice is that you don't take so much time as me in starting to make your own... You are going to love it!

P.S: The "giant" skeins that show up from the bag are also from  Phildar and I bought them last summer in Bordeaux
