Cosas que me gustan / Things I like # 35 - Flower Power Scarf

Simplemente... ¡me encanta! ♥

Autumn is here and I can't stop seeing things that I like and that I would love to make, like this original flower scarf designed by  Gaia Segattini for  BettaKnit.

I find it the perfect accesory to make cold days less grey, more than a scarf  is almost a necklace made with a wonderful wool.

I simply... love it! ♥

Happy (Autumn) Weekend

One more year I am celebrating the arrival of autumn because, although I knit all year long, when cold weather starts is when I enjoy knitting the most.

This time I also start coming back to my unfinished projects but surely it won't take me long to add new ideas to my list.

Let's enjoy autumn!

Thornett

More than one year and several  DROPS Loves You 7 balls after, I can finally say that I've finished my  Thornett top although the result is not exactly what I expected...

When I chose the pattern size, as I didn't want it to be very tight fitting, I decided to make one size bigger than my true size but... either I took the wrong measures either the top got bigger after the blocking, the point is that it is too big for me.

However, after trying it on I've seen that it is perfect as a beach dress, so every cloud has a silver lining and next summer it will suit me perfectly as it is something different to the things I already have.

Honestly, I am little bit sad I didn't get the right size because I love the pattern but whatever... I guess that after this I will learn to measure better the next time.

Has something similar ever happened to you?

En proceso... / Work in progress...

This month of September I've left myself get carried away by back to school spirit and I am taking up some of my pending projects, some since last year and another ones since a little more time.

At present I have already finished  Thornett top, which is already blocked and ready for a photo shoot.

The next project in the list is my  "Granny Chic" blanket which I started back in 2014 (I still can't believe how quickly time has passed) and that granny by granny this week has grown a little bit more. It seems that it is going to be a small blanket as I didn't figure very well the number of balls, but if I finish it this winter I will be satisfied.

Actually I don't know why I leave some projects unfinished, I guess I like new things and I can't resist starting different things...

Am I the only one?

P.S: I have to write a "Craft Books" post about the book "Crochet Living" by Debbie Bliss because it is full of super beautiful crochet projects ♥

One of the ideas I like the most for decorating a kids room are handmade tricotin names as the one I made for my niece Nora some years ago.

It is not something difficult to make but I find it the perfect gift as there are many ways to hang it (in a picture, on a shelf, on the wall...) and it also can be combined with other handmade objects such as, for example, a crochet garland whis is one of my favorite choices.

In addition, as it can be completely customised we can play with colours and words and make the composition we find better for us.

With so many positive things it is impossible that you don't like them...

P.S: You can find how to make a tricotin name here
