La sirenita "Coral" / "Coral" the little mermaid

 

Todos los años hago algún muñeco de amigurumi  para el cumpleaños de mi sobrina y, aunque este año no he podido dárselo en la fecha que correspondía, no he faltado a mi tradición.

Hasta el momento ha habido un poco de todo: una Peppa Pig , una muñequita Gorjuss , un unicornio Robin  y un osito panda circense así que tenía que buscar un diseño que estuviera a la altura de los anteriores. 

Una vez más la solución me la dio Instagram  cuando vi una foto de la sirenita "Coral " diseñada por La Crocheteria Design  y en seguida me di cuenta de que era el proyecto perfecto porque iba a poder utilizar muchos hilos con brillos que es lo que más le gusta a mi sobrina.

Tal y como imaginaba, la sirenita "Coral" ha resultado ser un gran éxito y ha sido muy bien recibida en su nueva loca familia de amigurumis.

Every year a make an amigurumi puppet for my niece's birthday and, although this year I couldn't give it to her in the corresponding date, I didn't miss my tradition.

Until the moment there has been a little bit of everything: a Peppa Pig, a Gorjuss doll, a Robin unicorn and a circus panda bear so I had to find a design at the same level as the precedings.

Once more I found the solution on  Instagram when I saw a picture of  "Coral" the mermaid designed by  La Crocheteria Design and I suddenly realised that it was the perfect project because I could use different lurex cotton yarns which is what my niece likes the most.

As I imagined, "Coral" the little mermaid was a great success and it has been very well accepted in her new crazy family of amigurumis.

Harry Lobo / Harry Wolf

Cuando compré el libro de amigurumi  de Pica Pau sabía que no me iba a arrepentir y, aunque ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que hice a Robin Unicornio, nunca me olvido de lo bonitos que son sus personajes.

De hecho, cuando surge el momento de hacer un amigurumi  para cualquier ocasión es uno de mis libros de referencia y, así, hace poco lo he retomado para hacer a Harry Lobo, uno de los animales del libro que más me gustan.

La verdad es que nunca pensé que haría un lobo de ganchillo y mucho menos que me resultaría tan simpático pero supongo que ahí esta el mérito de Pica Pau, siempre consigue que sus diseños tengan ese aire de dibujo animado casi perfecto.

De momento no tengo nada en mente pero me encantaría ir haciendo todos los animales poco a poco...

When I bought  Pica Pau's  amigurumi book I knew I wasn't going to regret it and, although it's been a long time since I made  Robin Unicorn, I never forget how beautiful its characters are.

In fact, when the moment to make an  amigurumi arises for any occasion it is one of my books of reference and, this way, not long ago I came back to it to make Harry Wolf, one of the animals from the book I like the most.

The truth is I have never thought I would make a crochet wolf and much less that I would find him so nice but I guess that that is  Pica Pau's merit, she always achieves her designs to look like almost perfect cartoon characters.

At the moment I have nothing in mind but I would love to keep making all the animals little by little...

LuiPanda amigurumi

Siguiendo con mi tradición, este año para el cumpleaños de mi sobrina Nora he hecho un amigurumi  para que lo añada a su colección.

En esta ocasión, el diseño que he escogido ha sido el osito "LuiPanda"  de Mr. O'Lui  que es uno de mis patrones de amigurumi  favoritos y, de hecho, éste sería el tercer panda que he hecho hasta el momento.

Para hacerlo un poco diferente a los anteriores, he utilizado un hilo con brillo para hacer el gorrito y el cuello y la verdad es que me gusta mucho cómo ha quedado, le da un aire como más alegre.

No os voy a negar que me encanta elegir ideas para hacer para mi sobrina y ya estoy pensando cuál va a ser el próximo amigurumi  que haga para ella...

Following with my tradition, this year for the birthday of my niece Nora I have made an amigurumi so she can add it to her collection.

In this occasion, the design I have chosen was  Mr. O'Lui's "LuiPanda" bear which is one of my favorite  amigurumi patterns and, actually, this is the third panda I have made so far.

To make it a little bit different to the previous ones, I have used a yarn with metallic sheen for the hat and the collar and the truth is I like the result a lot, it looks more cheerful.

I won't deny that I love choosing ideas to make for my niece and I am already thinking about the next  amigurumi I will make for her...

Dumbo amigurumi

La última vez que hice algo para mi sobrina fue el unicornio Robin  de Picapau  que le regalé por su cumpleaños y este verano fue ella quien me pidió expresamente que le hiciera un Dumbo de amigurumi  después de ver la película.

Obviamente no podía negarme, aunque normalmente suelo tener dudas cuando se trata de personajes conocidos ya que si el resultado no se parece al original puede ser un desastre total...

Por suerte, encontré un patrón gratuito de Dumbo  de Amigurumies  que me dio bastante confianza en que la cosa podía salir bien así que acepté el reto encantada.

Al final, el resultado fue todo un éxito y mi sobrina está feliz con su mini Dumbo  de amigurumi así que sólo espero que la próxima vez no ponga el listón muy alto...

The last time I made something for my niece it was  Picapau's Robin unicorn which I gave her on her birthday and this summer it was her who expressly asked me to make her a  Dumbo amigurumi after watching the film.

Obviously I couldn't say no, although I usually have some doubts when it comes to known characters as if the result doesn't look like the original it can be a complete disaster...

Luckily, I found a free  Dumbo pattern by  Amigurumies which gave me enough confidence to think that it could end well so I was pleased to accept de challenge.

In the end, the result was a great succes and my niece is happy with her mini amigurumi  Dumbo so I can only hope that next time she won't set the bar very high...

Lui Panda amigurumi

Hace más de un año hice mi primer Lui Panda  de amigurumi  y me gustó tanto que prometí repetirlo en otros colores. 

Desde entonces he hecho varias cosas para bebé pero ha sido este verano cuando por fin he  tenido la oportunidad de hacer otro osito Lui Panda  para una pequeñina que nació hace unos meses.

La verdad es que es uno de esos patrones de amigurumi que no me importa repetir porque sigo pensando que un osito panda de ganchillo es un regalo perfecto para un bebé.

Mi sueño sería tener un Lui Panda  de cada color (y ponerlos todos juntos en una estantería) pero me conformaré con hacer uno para mí en cuanto tenga tiempo y luego ya veremos si se incorpora alguno más a la colección...

More than one year ago I made my first  amigurumi Lui Panda and I liked it that much that I promised to repeat it in different colours.

Since then I have made several things for babies but this summer I finally had the chance to make another  Lui Panda bear for a baby girl who was born a couple of months ago.

The truth is it is one of those amigurumi patterns I don't mind to repeat because I keep thinking that a little crochet panda bear is the perfect gift for a baby.

My dream would be to have one  Lui Panda in each colour (and to put all of them together on a shelf) but I will resign myself with making just one for me when I have time and later we will see if some others join the collection...

Rudolf el bulldog inglés / Rudolf the English bulldog

Desde que compré el libro "Edward's Menagerie Dogs"  de Kerri Lord  el año pasado he hecho ya varios perritos de amigurumi y, recientemente, he tenido la oportunidad de hacer una versión de Rudolf , un bulldog inglés que durante mucho tiempo fue el niño mimado de sus dueños.

Esta vez tampoco tenía el patrón exacto para esta raza así que he vuelto a recurrir a la técnica de guiarme por una foto y buscar cada rasgo del perro en el libro para hacerlo lo más parecido posible.

Espero poder enseñaros algún perrito más pronto...

Since I bought the book "Edwards's Menagerie Dogs" by Kerry Lord last year I have already made several  amigurumi dogs and, recently, I had the opportunity to make a version of  Rudolf, an English bulldog who was the apple of his owners' eyes for a long time.

This time I neither had the exact pattern for this breed so I used again the technique of guiding myself with a picture and searching each characteristic of the dog in the book in order to make it as similar as possible.

I hope I can show you some more dogs soon...

LittleToni

Hace unos meses os adelantaba por Instagram  que tenía varios perritos de amigurumi en proceso y, después de haberos enseñado a Lur , hoy es el turno de Toni  una preciosa perrita que vive en Viena.

Esta vez tampoco tenía muy claro de qué raza se trataba así que también fui haciendo una mezcla de con distintos patrones del libro de Kerry Lord. En realidad no fue muy difícil pero he de decir que hacer los pelitos largos del hocico fue todo un reto...

Lo importante es que esta pequeñina ya está con su dueña y que la verdadera Toni está encantada con su versión en miniatura.

A couple of months ago I told you via  Instagram that I had a couple of  amigurumi dogs in progress and, after showing you Lur,  today is the turn of  Toni, a little dog girl that lives in Vienna.

This time I wasn't very sure about the breed either so I also made a combination of different patterns from  Kerry Lord's book. Actually it was not difficult but I have to say that making the long hairs of the snout was a great challenge...

The important thing is that this little girl is already with her owner and that the real  Toni is very happy with her miniature version.

Robin Unicornio / Robin Unicorn

Como cada año, el cumpleaños de mi sobrina Nora es la excusa perfecta para hacer algo especial y disfruto muchísimo porque me encanta elegir la idea y llevarla a cabo de principio a fin.

Desde que compré el libro de Pica-pau  tenía muy claro lo que quería hacer y es que no se me ocurre mejor regalo para una niña de cinco años que un unicornio de amigurumi . Cuando se lo dí me encantó ver su cara al sacarlo del papel de regalo y cómo lo acariciaba como si fuera un animalito de verdad...

Creo que es uno de los amigurumi más bonitos que he hecho hasta la fecha y me encanta que "Robin unicornio" de Pica-pau  haya sido el primer proyecto que he terminado este año y estoy segura de que no será el único de sus patrones que haga.

P.D: Más regalos para Nora

As every year, the birthday of my niece Nora is the perfect excuse to make something special and I enjoy it a lot because I love choosing the idea and making it from beginning to end.

Since I bought  Pica-pau's book I was sure what I wanted to make as I can't find a better gift for a five year old girl than an  amigurumi unicorn. When I gave it to her I loved seeing her face when she pulled it out from the gift wrap and how she caressed it as it was really a little animal...

I think it is one of the most beautiful  amigurumi I have made so far and I love that "Robin unicorn" by  Pica-pau is the first project I have finished this year and I am sure it won't be the only one of her patterns that I make.

Terminé 2018 hablando de un proyecto de amigurumi  en curso y empiezo el nuevo año con un perrito también de amigurumi que terminé en diciembre.

En esta ocasión no se trataba de ninguna raza concreta así que para hacerlo me guié por una foto y fui cogiendo ideas del libro de TOFT.

Al principio pensé que iba a ser un proceso lioso pero la verdad es que ha sido muy entretenido buscar cada rasgo del perro en el libro para hacerlo lo más parecido posible.

Muy pronto os enseñaré más perritos personalizados...



I finished 2018 talking about an ongoing  amigurumi project and I start the new year again with an  amigurumi dog which I finished in December.

In this case it wasn't an specific breed so to make it I used a picture and I took some ideas from  TOFT book.

At first I thought it was going to be a complicated process but actually it was quite entertaining to search every characteristic of the dog in the book in order to make it as similar as possible.

Very soon I will so you more custom dogs...

Hace tiempo que soy fan de Pica-pau  y aunque hace ya unos cuantos meses que me compré su libro "La Banda de Pica Pau"  hasta ahora no había tenido tiempo de hacer ninguno de sus famosos amigurumi.

Ahora tengo una excusa muy buena para hacer uno de sus diseños y aunque me ha costado un poco decidirme qué animal hacer (obviamente quiero hacerlos todos...), me hace mucha ilusión pensar que seguramente este amigurumi  será el primer proyecto que termine el año que viene.

De momento os dejo con la intriga, pero espero poder enseñaros el resultado muy pronto...

I've been fan of  Pica-pau for a while and although I bought her book "Animal friends of Pica Pau" some months ago until now I didn't have time to make any of her famous  amigurumi.

Now I have a very good excuse to make one of her designs and although it took me quite a while to decide which animal to make (obviously I want to make them all...), I am very happy to think that this  amigurumi will probably be the first project that I finish next year.

By the moment I will keep you in suspense, but I hope to be able to show you the result very soon...

Mis tiendas favoritas de Etsy / My favorite Etsy shops # 7 - MrLuiwood

Hace un tiempo curiosear las tiendas de Etsy  era una de mis aficiones preferidas y, aunque ya no tengo tanto tiempo para hacerlo, de vez en cuando sigo encontrando pequeñas joyas.

Uno de mis últimos descubrimientos ha sido la tienda de patrones de amigurumi  de MrLuiwood  que tiene unos muñecos de ganchillo realmente bonitos.

Mi favorito entre todos es el osito panda que ya os enseñé hace unas semanas pero el elefantito con jersey y la jirafa con cuello de lana también me parecen ideales.

Ya me estoy imaginando con mi pequeña familia de animalitos MrLuiwood...

Some time ago one of my favorite hobbies was to browse  Etsy shops and, although I don't have so much time to do it anymore, once in a while I keep finding little gems.

One of my latest discoveries is the  amigurumi pattern shop  MrLuiwood which has really beautiful crochet dolls.

My favorite among all of them is the little panda bear I already showed you some weeks ago but I also find the little elephant with a sweater and the giraffe with a wool cowl very cute.

I am already imagining myself with my wee family of MrLuiwood animals...

Knit Super Teddy

Uno de los primeros proyectos que hice cuando empecé a tejer fue un osito panda pirata de punto y desde entonces siempre que he hecho algún muñeco ha sido en amigurumi, hasta que el verano pasado me pidieron hacer un osito superhéroe para una niña.

Al principio pensé que me iba a costar encontrar un patrón pero Ravelry  es un mundo mágico en el que siempre encuentras lo que buscas y, para mi alegría, apareció el patrón Knit Super Teddy  de Lorraine Pistorio.

Me sorprendió que el patrón fuera en punto en lugar de ganchillo pero la verdad es que no hay mucha diferencia entre hacerlo de una manera o de otra por lo que no hay motivo para asustarse.

¿Alguien más se ha atrevido con los muñecos de punto?


One of the first projects I made when I started knitting was a knitted pirate panda bear and since then any time I've made a puppet it was in  amigurumi, until last summer I was asked to make a superheroe bear for a baby girl.

At first I thought it was going to be difficult to find a pattern but  Ravelry is a magic world where you always find what you search and, to my joy, Knit Super Teddy pattern by  Lorraine Pistorio appeared.

I was surprised that it was a knitting pattern instead of a crochet one but at the end there's not much difference between making it one way or the other so there's no reason to be scared.

Anyone else has tried knitted puppets?

Muñeca Gorjuss de amigurumi / Gorjuss amigurumi doll

Hace unos meses mi sobrina Nora me pidió que le hiciera una muñeca Gorjuss de amigurumi para su cumpleaños y escogió este modelo que os he enseñado en Instagram.

Para hacerla me he guiado por el patrón de "Mi Muñeca de Ganchillo"  así que no me ha resultado muy complicado ya que sólo he tenido que buscar un vestido y unos calcetines similares en el libro y hacerlos en los mismos colores que los de la muñeca Gorjuss.

Ahora esta muñequita está haciendo compañía a la Peppa Pig que le hice el año pasado.

Some months ago my niece Nora asked me to make her an amigurumi  Gorjuss doll for her birthday and she chose this design I showed you on  Instagram.

To make it I followed the pattern of  "My Crochet Doll" so it wasn't very difficult as I only had to look for a similar dress and socks in the book to make them in the same colours as those of the  Gorjuss  doll.

Now this little doll is making company to the  Peppa Pig I made her last year.

Pingüino de amigurumi / Amigurumi penguin

Parece que el frío ha llegado para quedarse así que hoy comparto este pingüino de amigurumi  con bufanda que hice en verano pero que entonces no tenía mucho sentido publicar.

El patrón es de Amigurumi Collection Vol. 4  un libro japonés con un montón de muñequitos de ganchillo de todo tipo que está sin traducir, así que yo me guío con los diagramas para seguir las instrucciones.

Si repaso las últimas entradas del blog últimamente he hecho muchos amigurumi  pero son todos tan diferentes entre ellos que no me canso de hacerlos... ¿A alguien más le pasa?

It seems that cold weather has come to stay so today I am sharing this amigurumi penguin with scarf that I made during the summer but which had little sense to publish then.

The pattern is from Amigurumi Collection Vol. 4 a Japanese book with lots of different crochet dolls which is not translated so I have to read the diagrams to follow the instructions.

If I review my latest posts lately I have made many  amigurumi but they are so different from each other that I can't get enough of making them... Does anyone feel the same?

Craft Books ♥ 10 - Mi Muñeca de Ganchillo / My Crochet Doll

¿Conocéis la colección de ilustraciones "Quand je serai grand" ?

Su autora es Isabelle Kessedjian  quien además de ser una artista del dibujo es una apasionada del ganchillo que ha conseguido unir sus dos pasiones en el libro "Mi Muñeca de Ganchillo" .

Seguro que ya habéis visto alguna de sus muñecas de amigurumi en Pinterest  y es que lo genial de este libro es que la muñeca es siempre la misma pero diferente al mismo tiempo ya que podemos personalizarla escogiendo un tipo de hilo diferente para el pelo y añadiendo una gran variedad de complementos (vestidos, sombreros, zapatos, bolsos...).

Entre mis favoritas están la superheroína y la colegiala aunque he empezado realizando otros dos modelos que os enseñaré pronto.

Do you know  " Quand je serai grand" illustration series?

The author is Isabelle Kessedjian who apart from being a drawing artist is a crochet lover that has succeeded in joining her two passions in the book " My Crochet Doll".

Certainly you have already seen some of her amigurumi dolls in  Pinterest as the great thing about this book is that the doll is always the same but different at the same time as we can customise it choosing a different yarn for the hair and adding a wide range of accesories (dresses, hats, shoes, bags...).

The superheroine and the school girl are among my favorites although I have started by making two other designs that I will show you soon.

Wouldn't you love to have the full collection of dolls?
