For me this has been the winter of wool hats, I started knitting the Hibiscus pattern and since them I haven't stopped.
The last one joining my collection is Illume by Melissa Schaschwary, a really pretty hat that was on my list of projects since I saw the one maukykimau made (if you like knitting you can't miss her Instagram profile).
Although by seeing the cables it may seem complicated it is a very easy to make hat which is knitted really quickly and the pattern is free, so as you can see there are many points in favour.
To make it I've used DROPS Big Delight in "Raspberry cake" colour and I am very happy with the result.
Knitting with multi coloured yarn always has a surprise element because you never know how it is going to be until you finish knitting and, in this case, I can't like more the colour combination.
The best thing is that with hats I have found a quick and entertaining way of reducing my stash, why haven't I thought of it earlier?
