Desde hace unos años ya es casi tradición que comparta en el blog un patrón diseñado por mí así que para no perder las buenas costumbres hoy os traigo un patrón para tejer un cuello de lana con una trenza en el centro.
Como en otras ocasiones es algo muy fácil de tejer pero también es una buena oportunidad para practicar con las agujas circulares y para familiarizarse con las trenzas (que siempre dan un toque muy especial a las prendas de punto).

For a couple of years it is almost a tradition that I share on the blog a pattern designed by me so just not to lose the good habits today I am showing you a pattern to knit a wool cowl with a cable in the middle.
As in previous occasions it is something very easy to knit but it is also a good opportunity to practice with circular needles and to get used to cables (which always add a very special touch to knit garments).

PATRÓN GRATUITO
Lana: Aproximadamente 150 gr. de lana 9 mm en vuestro color preferido (yo he utilizado DROPS Andes en color verde mar)
Agujas: Agujas circulares de 10 mm y 60 cm de diámetro y aguja auxiliar para hacer trenzas
Puntos utilizados: Punto del derecho y punto del revés
Medidas del cuello: 70 cm ancho x 40 cm de largo
Medidas del cuello: 70 cm ancho x 40 cm de largo
Pasos:
- Importante: El cuello se teje del revés, una vez terminado tenéis que darle la vuelta a la pieza, es decir, la parte que se ve es el revés (esto es así porque a mí me resulta más cómodo y rápido tejer todo del derecho pero si preferís podéis tejerlo directamente del revés haciendo los puntos al contrario de lo indicado en las instrucciones).
- Montar 68 puntos y unir para empezar a tejer en circular.
- Repetir las siguientes vueltas 5 veces o las veces necesarias para alcanzar la medida que os guste:
- Vueltas 1 a 4: 30 puntos del derecho, 8 puntos del revés, 30 puntos del derecho
- Vuelta 5: 30 puntos del derecho, * principio trenza {Pasar 4 puntos a la aguja auxiliar, dejadlos en la parte de atrás, tejer los 4 puntos siguientes de la aguja izquierda del revés, recuperar los 4 puntos de la aguja auxiliar y tejerlos del revés} fin trenza*, tejer 30 puntos del derecho
- Vueltas 6 a 10: 30 puntos del derecho, 8 puntos del revés, 30 puntos del derecho
- Cerrar todos los puntos del derecho
FREE PATTERN
Yarn: Approximately 150 gr. of 9 mm / 14 ply yarn in your favorite colour (I've used DROPS Andes in sea green colour)
Needles: 10mm/US15 and 60 cm /23 inches length circular needles and one cable needle
Stitches used: Knit and Purl
Cowl measures: 70 cm/27.5 inches wide x 40 cm/15.5 length
Steps:
- Important: The cowl is knitted on the wrong side, once finished you have to turn it inside out, that is, what you see is the wrong side (this is because I find it easier and quicker to knit all the stitches but if you prefer you can purl the stitches doing the opposite to what is established in the instructions).
- Cast on 68 stitches and join to start knitting in the round.
- Repeat the following rounds 5 times or as many times you need to reach the measure you like:
- Rounds 1 to 4: Knit 30 stitches, purl 8 stitches, knit 30 stitches
- Round 5: Knit 30 stitches, C8B {slip 4 stitches onto cable needle and hold at back of work, purl 4 stitches from left-hand needle, then purl 4 stitches from cable needle}, knit 30 stitches
- Round 6 to 10: Knit 30 stitches, purl 8 stitches, knit 30 stitches
- Cast off all the stitches knitwise
