Happy (Crafting) Weekend

Llega el fin de semana y empiezo un proyecto nuevo, un perro de ganchillo del precioso libro "Edward's Menagerie Dogs" de Kerry Lord  que os enseñé en primavera por Instagram.

El primer modelo que voy a hacer es "Rosie the Dachshund" una raza que yo siempre he conocido como "Teckel"  así que ahora gracias al libro he aprendido que a este tipo de perros se les puede llamar de las dos maneras.

En el libro hay un montón de razas diferentes (incluso algunas de las que nunca había oído hablar antes) a cada cual más mona, así que seguramente no será el único perro que haga.

The weekend is here and I am starting a new project, a crochet dog from "Edward's Menagerie Dogs" beautiful book by  Kerry Lord  which I showed you in spring through  Instagram.

The first design I am making is  "Rosie the Dachshund" a breed I have always known as "Teckel" so now thanks to the book I have learned that this kind of dogs can be called in both ways.

In the book there are a lot of different breeds (even some I have never heard before) one cuter than the other, so for sure this won't be the only dog I make.

Inspiración: 5 bolsos de ganchillo para hacer en verano / Inspiration: 5 crochet bags to make in summer

Si seguís mi blog os habréis dado cuenta de que últimamente estoy un poco "obsesionada" con los bolsos de ganchillo (primero fue el bolso de eccomin  y luego el famoso "Macaron Bag" ) así que me ha parecido buena idea hacer una selección de cinco bolsos de ganchillo para hacer en verano.

Entre los modelos que he elegido están las típicas bolsas de ir al mercado que nunca pasan de moda y  que ahora están más de actualidad que nunca, pero también he incluido una especie de bolso cesta que me ha encantado por su colorido.

La verdad es que cualquiera de ellos me parece el proyecto perfecto para hacer en verano y, si os apetece hacer vuestro propio bolso de ganchillo, no descartéis estos modelos porque la mayoría de ellos son de patrones gratuitos.

If you follow my blog you may have noticed that lately I am a little bit "obsessed" with crochet bags (first it was  eccomin's bag and later the famous  "Macaron Bag") so I thought it was a good a idea to make a selection of five crochet bags to make in summer.

Among the models I have chosen we can find the typical market bags which are never out of fashion and that are now more than ever a trend, but I have also included a sort of basket bag which I loved for it colours.

The truth is that I find any of them the perfect project to make during the summer and, if you want to make your own crochet bag, don't dismiss these models because most of them are free patterns.

Summer Baby Selmer

Hace casi dos años desde que hice mi primera ranita del patrón "Baby Selmer"  y recientemente lo he recuperado para hacer una versión de verano que he tejido con algodón.

Los ovillos que he utilizado son de DROPS Paris  de Garnstudio  y estoy muy sorprendida porque hasta ahora sólo había utilizado esta calidad para hacer esta funda de ganchillo y he descubierto que es un algodón perfecto para hacer ropa de bebé porque es muy suave a pesar de su grosor.

Lo que tengo muy claro es que las ranitas siguen siendo mi prenda de bebé favorita ♥

It's almost two years ago since I made my first baby romper from the pattern  "Baby Selmer" and recently I have come back to it to make a summer version I have knitted with cotton. 

The skeins I've used are from  DROPS Paris by  Garnstudio and I am really surprised because until the moment I had only used this yarn to make this crochet cover and I have found out that it is a perfect cotton to make baby clothing as it is very soft despite being quite thick.

The one thing I am really sure about is that baby rompers still are my favorite baby clothes ♥

Cosas que me gustan / Things I like # 39 - Macaron bag

Durante mi visita a "La Lainerie"  en Burdeos estuve un rato charlando con una dependienta y la propietaria de la tienda y hablando de labores e Instagram  mencionaron el "Macaron Bag", un bolso de ganchillo que, al parecer, es muy conocido en el mundo virtual pero que yo no había visto nunca.

Como os podréis imaginar este famoso bolso despertó mi curiosidad y, como no podía ser de otra manera, ya está incluido en mi lista de proyectos por hacer.

Sin embargo, en este caso la cosa está un poco complicada porque sólo he conseguido averiguar que el bolso "Macaron Bag"  es un diseño de Knitree  y el patrón original está en coreano aunque no he conseguido dar con ningún enlace donde poder comprarlo.

Con tanto misterio, ¿no os dan todavía más ganas de ganchillearlo?


During my visit to  "La Lainerie" in Bordeaux I spent some time chatting with a shop assistant and the shop owner and talking about crafts and  Instagram they mentioned the "Macaron Bag", a crochet bag that, apparently, is very popular in the virtual world but that I had never seen.

As you can imagine this famous bag sparked my curiosity and, as it couldn't be any other way, it is already included in my to-do project list.

However, in this case it is a little bit complicated as I only could find out that the  "Macaron Bag" is a design by  Knitree and the original pattern is in Korean although I couldn't find any link where to buy it from.

With al this mystery, don't you want to crochet it even more?
