Mon Petit Coeur ♥

Hacía mucho que no tejía ropa para bebés y aunque sea repitiendo el patrón "Mon Petit Coeur" que tejí hace dos años estoy encantada porque es un modelo que me encanta.

Tiene un corte muy sencillo pero me parece que el detalle del corazón y los botones en la espalda le dan un toque diferente. Además está tejido en punto bobo que es uno de mis tipos de punto favoritos para la ropa de bebé así que no es extraño que me guste tanto.

¿No os encantaría tener uno de vuestra talla?

I haven't knitted baby clothes for a while and even if it is repeating  "Mon Petit Coeur" pattern which I knitted two years ago I am very happy since it is a design I love.

It has a simple style but I think that the heart motif and the buttons in the back add a different touch. In addition it is knitted in garter stitch which is one of my favorite knitting stitches for baby clothes so it is not strange that I like it that much.

Wouldn't you love to have one in your size?

Cablegram

El último proyecto que he terminado es el gorro Cablegram de la edición de primavera de Pom Pom (es el gorro que asomaba por encima del montón de prendas tejidas con el que despedía el invierno en mi publicación anterior).

Normalmente suelo tejer gorros con lana gordita pero este modelo me llamó mucho la atención por su diseño y justo tenía un ovillo de DROPS Alpaca  en un color rosa oscuro precioso que encajaba con el patrón así que me pareció el momento perfecto para tejer algo diferente.

Es cierto que al tejer con lana fina se tarda un poco más en terminar pero creo que cuando se trata de de diseños tan particulares merece la pena dedicar ese tiempo extra porque el resultado es muy especial.

Además, este tipo de gorros son perfectos para los días de viento en primavera.

The last project I've finished is  Cablegram hat from  Pom Pom spring issue (it is the hat that appeared on top of the knitted garments I said goodbye to winter with on my previous post).

Normally I usually knit hats with bulky yarn but the design of this model caught my attention and I just had a skein of DROPS Alpaca in a beautiful dark pink which matched with the pattern so I thought it was the perfect moment to knit something different.

It is true that knitting with thin yarn takes a little bit more to finish but I think that when it comes to designs that are so particular it is worth spending that extra time as the result is really special.

In addition, this type of hats are perfect for windy spring days.

Adiós, invierno / Bye bye, winter

Este invierno ha sido uno de los más largos que recuerdo y también ha sido especialmente triste para mí porque la semana pasada he tenido que despedirme de mi perro Rocky después de muchos años siendo, entre otras cosas, mi compañero inseparable en muchas tardes de labores.

Llevaba enfermo desde Navidad así que cada prenda que he tejido estos meses lleva un poquito de él porque entre vuelta y vuelta siempre había un momento para mimos y caricias.

La verdad es que todavía me cuesta hacerme a la idea pero sé que son etapas que toca vivir y poco a poco recuperaré mi ritmo.

This winter was one of the longest I can remember and it also has been specially sad for me as last week I had to say goodbye to my dog Rocky after many years being, among other things, my partner-in-crime in many afternoons of crafts.

He had been ill since Christmas so every garment I've knitted these months has something to do with him as between rounds I always had time for cuddles and caresses.

Honestly I still struggle to get used to it but I know these are life stages and little by little I will recover my pace.

Happy (Crafting) Weekend

Parece que el invierno va a durar un poco más de lo esperado aunque la verdad yo no tengo mucha queja porque me encanta quedarme en casa cuando hace mal tiempo y organizar mi mundo de labores.

Mi objetivo principal para este fin de semana es terminar el proyecto de Pom Pom del que os hablé hace unas semanas y coser un amigurumi que tengo en proceso.

It seems like winter is going to last a little bit more than expected although I have no claim as I love staying at home with bad weather and organising my craft world.

My main goal this weekend is to finish the Pom Pom project I told you about a couple of weeks ago and to sew an amigurumi I have in progress.

Yarn Bombing Bilbao - Día Internacional de la Mujer / International Women's Day

Con motivo de la celebración del Día Internacional de la Mujer un grupo de ganchilleras y tejedoras del País Vasco nos hemos propuesto dar un poco más de visibilidad y color a la jornada colocando un mural morado de piezas de ganchillo y punto en los Tinglados del Arenal en Bilbao.

En realidad no voy a poder estar allí físicamente pero he contribuido enviando algunos cuadrados de ganchillo para que luzcan bien bonitos junto con los de mis compañeras.

Os he hablado en más ocasiones del "yarn bombing"  pero es la primera vez que participo y aunque sea a distancia es algo que me hace especial ilusión ya que soy muy fan de este forma de decoración urbana.

Si podéis acercaros por Bilbao no dejéis de visitarlo y haceros alguna foto para el recuerdo ;)

On the occasion of the celebration of  International Women's Day a group of crocheters and knitters from the Basque Country have decided to raise more awareness and add some colour to the day putting a purple mural made from crochet and knit pieces in Tinglados del Arenal in Bilbao.

Actually I cannot be there physically but I have contributed sending some crochet squares so they can shine pretty with those of my fellows.

I have told you about  "yarn bombing" before but it is the first time that I actually take part and even if it is in the distance it thrills me as I am a great fan of this type of urban decoration.
