El comienzo de septiembre es el momento ideal de volver a las buenas costumbres, como leer un buen libro, así que hoy os propongo un DIY muy original que sirve para no perder la pista de nuestra lectura.

Se trata de un marcapáginas de ganchillo con forma de corazón diseñado por BettaKnit que está disponible de forma gratuita en su página web.

Me parece un regalo perfecto para que el comienzo de curso sea más agradable además de una oportunidad estupenda para utilizar restos de hilos.

The beginning of September is the right moment to return to good old habits, as reading a good book, so today I will recommend you a very original DIY that will serve to not lose sight from our reading.

It consists of a heart shaped crochet bookmark designed by  BettaKnit that is available for free on their web.

I think it is a perfect gift to make the beginning of the classes more pleasant in addition to being a magnificent opportunity to use scrap yarn.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 32 - Mini Crochet Pumpkins

 

Este año me he adelantado un poco y ya he empezado a recopilar ideas DIY para hacer calabazas de Halloween porque es una idea que también me gusta mucho como decoración de otoño.

El año pasado escogí unas calabazas gigantes de punto y en esta ocasión las que más me han gustado han sido las mini calabazas de ganchillo de  Caro Tricote.

Me han llamado mucho la atención por su color pero también porque son tan pequeñitas que pueden quedar bien en cualquier sitio.

Seguro que ya se os ha ocurrido dónde podríais ponerlas...

This year I am a little bit in advance and I have already started gathering DIY ideas to make Halloween pumpkins because it is an idea that I also like a lot as autumn decor.

Last year I chose some maxi knit pumpkins and this time the ones I like the most are mini crochet pumpkins by  Caro Tricote.

They caught my attention by their colour but also because they are so small that they would fit perfectly everywhere.

I am sure you have already thought where you could put them...

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs ♥ 31 - Crochet Heart Basket

Entre mis proyectos favoritos para la casa están las cestas de ganchillo porque, sean del tamaño que sean, resultan prácticas y quedan bien en cualquier sitio.

De hecho, en mi lista de proyectos nunca me olvido de anotar algunas cestas que me gustaría hacer y, a principios de verano, descubrí un tutorial de "All About Ami"  para hacer una cesta de ganchillo con un corazón que me pareció una idea genial.

Para mí sería la cesta perfecta en la que guardar ovillos de lana pero también podría servir para guardar otras cosas y creo que en una habitación infantil también quedaría muy bien.

De momento sólo la tengo anotada en mi lista pero espero que dentro de poco haga compañía a esta cesta de punto que hice en primavera.

Crochet baskets are among my favorite projects for the home as, regardless of their size, they are practical and they look well anywhere.

In fact, on my project list I never forget to write down some baskets I would like to make and, at the beginning of summer, I found a tutorial by  "All About Ami" to make a crochet heart basket which I thought it was a cool idea.

For me it would be the perfect basket to keep wool skeins but it could also serve to store other things and I think it would look great in a kids room too.

At the moment it is only written down on my list but I hope that soon it would make compay to this knit basket I made in spring.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 30 - Simple Macrame Handbag

El verano pasado me lancé con el ganchillo e hice mi primera bolsa de red de estilo francés y, como coger ideas nuevas es uno de mis pasatiempos favoritos, os propongo un DIY muy similar para hacer un accesorio perfecto para usar en verano.

En esta ocasión, algo tan sencillo como saber hacer nudos y seguir las instrucciones de las geniales "A Beautiful Mess"  es todo lo que hace falta para pasar una tarde entretenida y hacer un bonito bolso  de macramé.

Me parece un proyecto perfecto para hacer en verano y no os voy a negar que ya estoy pensando en qué hilos puedo utilizar para hacer el mío...

¿Alguien más se apunta?

Last summer I took my crochet hook and made my first French market bag and, as picking up new ideas is one of my favorite hobbies, I propose you a very similar DIY to make a perfect accesory to use in summer.

In this occasion, something as simple as knowing how to tie knots and following the instructions given by brilliant "A Beautiful Mess" is all you need to pass a nice afternoon and make a cute macrame handbag.

I find it is a perfect project to make during the summer and I won't deny that I have been already thinking on what yarn to use to make mine...

Si te gustan los turbantes de lana de estilo "retro" y sabes hacer punto, te va a encantar este DIY de Marie Claire Idées.

Lejos de lo que pueda parecer es un accesorio muy fácil de tejer y a mí me encanta como alternativa a los clásicos gorros de lana.

Es cierto que las instrucciones están en francés pero con la ayuda del traductor de Google  no hay excusa para no animarse a tejerlo.

¿Quién se apunta a dar un toque chic  a los días fríos?

If you like retro style wool turbans and you can knit, you are going to love this DIY from  Marie Claire Idées.

Far from what it can seem it is a very easy to knit accesory and I love it as an alternative to classic wool hats.

It is true that the instructions are written in French but with the help of  Google translate there is no excuse to be willing to knit it.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 28 - Knit Pumpkins

Mi parte favorita de la celebración de Halloween  son las calabazas así que me gustaría compartir un DIY de DeBrosse  que, casualmente, es una propuesta perfecta para los amantes del punto también.

Lo descubrí gracias Instagram  y las dos calabazas de lana enseguida me llamaron la atención. Es una de las ideas más bonitas y fáciles de hacer que he visto para decorar la casa en Halloween.

My favorite part of Halloween celebration are pumpkins so I would like to share a DIY by  DeBrosse which, by chance, is a perfect design for knitting lovers too.

I found it thanks to Instagram and the two wool pumpkings inmediately caught my attention. It is one of the most beautiful and easy to make ideas I have seen to decorate the home in Halloween.

Cinco DIY para hacer en Navidad / Five DIY to make for Christmas

Cuando te gustan las manualidades la época de Navidad es el momento perfecto para poner en prácticas ideas nuevas para aportar un toque personal a la decoración, la comida, los regalos... 

En realidad no es necesario hacer cosas muy complicadas para hacer algo diferente y como yo soy partidaria de hacer proyectos fáciles he seleccionado cinco DIY para hacer en Navidad que pueden hacerse bastante rápido.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs #27 - Watercolour Notebooks

Cuando iba al colegio me encantaba estrenar cuadernos y aunque ahora me limito a cambiar de agenda cada año sigo teniendo debilidad por los artículos de papelería así que aprovechando que es época de empezar las clases me apetece compartir un DIY de Fellow Felllow  para personalizar cuadernos con acuarelas.

Me parece una idea genial para conseguir cuadernos bonitos con un toque único y personal.

When I went to school I loved using notebooks for the first time and although the only thing I do now is changing my agenda each year I still have a weakness for stationery so considering it is back to school season I feel like sharing a DIY by  Fellow Fellow to make custom watercolour notebooks.

I think it is  a great idea to have some beautiful notebooks with a unique and personal touch.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 26 - Broches Tricot L'Atelier d'Archibald

Hace algún tiempo encontré este DIY de L'Atelier d'Archibald  para hacer unos broches de punto y como soy muy fan de los complementos me pareció una idea genial para aportar un toque personal a la ropa.

Todavía no he tejido ninguno pero mi favorito desde el principio es el broche con forma de manzana que me parece una auténtica monada así que tarde o temprano tendré una manzanita  de punto adornando mis jerséis y camisas.

¿Cuál es vuestro favorito?


Some time ago I found this DIY by  L'Atelier d'Archibald to make knitted brooches and as I am a great fan of accesories I thought it was a great idea to add a personal touch to clothes.

I still haven't knitted any of  them but my favorite since the beginning is the apple shaped brooch which I find really cute so sooner or later I will have a knitted little apple decorating my sweaters and shirts.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 25 - Gingerbread House Paper Bags

Una de las cosas que más me gusta de la Navidad es ver los regalos debajo del árbol o en algún rincón especial de la casa. Son un elemento de decoración más y muchas veces los paquetes son tan bonitos que da pena abrirlos.

Hay muchísimas ideas originales para empaquetar regalos pero hoy os propongo una que me ha llamado la atención por lo fácil que es de hacer y porque representa muy bien el espíritu de la Navidad, unas bolsitas de papel con forma de casitas de genjibre de Craftberry Bush.

Además de ser una monada me parecen perfectas para envolver regalos pequeños.

¿Os imagináis un árbol de Navidad rodeado por casitas de genjibre de distintos tamaños?

One of the things I like the most about Christmas is to see the gifts under de tree or in a special corner of the house. They are another decor object and many times the packaging is so pretty that you feel bad opening them.

There are many original ideas to pack gifts but today I am showing you one that caught my attention because it is very easy to make and because it represents Christmas spirit at its best, gingerbread house paper bags by  Craftberry Bush. 

In addition to being very cute I find them perfect to pack small gifts.

Can you imagine a Christmas tree surrounded by gingerbread houses in different sizes?

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 24 - Washi Tape dispenser

Como buena amante de las manualidades tengo una ligera adicción al washi tape. Tengo rollos de todos los colores y estampados aunque, como ya os podéis imaginar, muchos nunca son suficientes.

Hay muchas opciones para guardarlos (en mi caso un tarro de cristal IKEA) pero si os apetece darle un toque DIY podéis coger la idea de la genial Pfefferminzgruen y hacer vuestro propio portarrollos de washi tape.

¿No os encantan?

As a real crafts lover I have a slight addiction to washi tape. I have rolls in every colour and print although, as you can imagine, many are never enough.

There are many options to keep them organised (in my case an IKEA jar) but if you want to add your own DIY touch you can follow the idea of the great  Pfefferminzgruen and make your own washi tape dispenser.

Hace unas semanas os proponía ideas para hacer con trapillo y ahora añado a la lista un DIY de Lebenslustiger para hacer unas coloridas pulseras de verano.

Es el proyecto perfecto para hacer en vacaciones: un poco de trapillo, agujas de doble punto, unas cuantas vueltas del derecho y... listas para llevar!

It is the perfect project to make during the holidays: a little bit of zpagetti, double pointed needles, some rounds in knit stich and... ready to wear!

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DYIs # 22 - Adornos de ganchillo / Crochet ornaments

Todos los años me propongo decorar mi casa con adornos de Navidad hechos por mí pero, a excepción de este Gingerbread man, siempre me pasa lo mismo... no encuentro tiempo para hacerlos.

Aún así, me sigue gustando buscar ideas nuevas y esta misma semana he descubierto unos adornos de ganchillo diseñados por Pica-Pau que, sin ser tradicionalmente navideños, son perfectos para decorar cualquier rincón de la casa en estas fechas (o el resto del año).

Para no romper la tradición, este año también llego tarde así que mi decoración tendrá muy poco de handmade  pero la idea me la guardo porque me encanta.

¿Alguien más sueña con decorar su casa con sus propias creaciones?

P.D: Por si (todavía) no conocéis el blog de Pica-Pau os adelanto que os vais a encontrar con unos muñecos de amigurumi tan ideales que vais a querer hacerlos todos ♥


Every year I propose myself to decorate my house with self made Christmas ornaments but, except from this Gingerbread man, it always ends up the same way... I don't have time to make them.

Even then, I still love looking for new ideas and this very week I've discovered some crochet ornaments designed by  Pica-Pau which, despite not representing traditional Christmas, are perfect to decorate any corner of the house during this season (or the rest of the year).

Just not to break with tradition, this year I am also late so my decoration will be very little handmade but I am writing down the idea because I love it.

Anyone else dreams with decorating the house with self made creations?

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 21 - Broches en tissage peyotte

Los broches son uno de mis accesorios de moda favoritos porque alegran cualquier atuendo y dan un toque muy personal a nuestra forma de vestir y, como buena apasionada de las manualidades, me encantaría hacer mis propios broches siguiendo el tutorial de Mon Petit Bazar  publicado en Marie Claire Idées.

La idea es hacer los broches utilizando la técnica de telar Peyote que hasta ahora sólo había visto en pulseras y collares pero después de ver estos broches tan monos me parece la oportunidad perfecta para explorar nuevas técnicas.

¿Alguien más se apunta?


Brooches are one of my favorite fashion accesories because they brighten up any outfit and add a very personal touch to our dressing style and, as good passionate of crafts, I would love to make my own brooches following Mon Petit Bazar tutorial published on  Marie Claire Idées.

The idea is to make the brooches using the Peyote weaving technique which until know I had only seen in bracelets and necklaces but after seeing these cute brooches I find it is the perfect opportunity to explore new techniques.

Una de las cosas que envidio mucho de otros países es la celebración de Pascua, me encanta la idea de decorar la casa con conejitos y huevos teñidos con colores alegres.

En España esta celebración no es muy habitual pero últimamente se empieza a ver un poco más así que, por si alguien está buscando ideas, he hecho una selección de cinco proyectos chulos para hacer en Pascua.

One of the things I envy a lot from other countries is Easter celebration, I love the idea of decorating the hows with little bunnies and brightly coloured eggs.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 19 - Mini granny square crochet baskets

Desde siempre me han encantado las cajas, botes, cestas... y demás objetos de almacenamiento así que hacer unas cestitas de ganchillo me parece un DIY de lo más práctico y divertido.

La idea la descubrí en Pinterest hace tiempo y me gustó mucho porque es muy fácil de hacer y me parece una buena oportunidad para utilizar restos de ovillos (ya veis que yo sigo con mi objetivo de reducir stash en mente).

Podéis encontrar el tutorial detallado en This Little Street y el dato curioso es que hasta hace poco no me había dado cuenta de que su autora es Victoria alias Vika Moka a quien sigo en Instagram desde hace unos meses (¡me encanta cuando ocurren estas maravillosas casualidades!).

¿No me digáis que las cestas no son una monada?

I have always loved boxes, pots, baskets... and any other storage objects so I find making crochet mini baskets a very practical and entertaining DIY.

I discovered the idea on Pinterest some time ago and I liked it a lot because it is very easy to make and it seems a good opportunity to use skein leftovers (you see that my goal of reducing stash is still on my mind).

You can find the detailed tutorial on This Little Street and the fun fact is that until a little time ago I hadn't realized that the author is Victoria, alias Vika Moka, whom I follow on Instagram since a couple of months ago (I love when this wonderful coincidences happen!).

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 18 - Waffel Hat

El primer gorro de lana que tejí fue el Waffel Hat  de Pickles, un gorro con un patrón muy original que me enamoró nada más verlo.

En aquel momento mis conocimientos de punto se limitaban a tejer con dos agujas así que la idea de utilizar agujas circulares me resultaba muy interesante.

No me acuerdo exactamente cuánto tarde en hacerlo pero tuvo que ser muy poco tiempo porque estaba super emocionada tejiendo sin parar y viendo como quedaba con cada vuelta que hacía.

La lana que escogí para tejerlo fue Rowan Cocoon una lana increíblemente suave y calentita que podría decir que es la lana oficial de mis gorros de punto porque es la misma que utilicé para tejer el gorro Take Heart.

Todavía hoy sigue siendo uno de mis gorros favoritos, mi fiel compañero en los días de frío porque por su diseño y color queda bien con todo.


The first wool hat I knitted was Waffel Hat by  Pickles, a hat with a very original pattern which I fell in love with at first sight.

At that moment my knitting skills were limited to knitting with straight needles so I found the idea of using circular needles very interesting.

I don't remember exactly how long it took me to make it but it had to be little time because I was super excited knitting without a break and seeing how it looked after each round I made.

The wool I chose to knit it was Rowan Cocoon an incredibly soft and warm wool that I could say is the official wool of all my knitted hats as it is the same I used to knit  Take Heart hat.

Today it is still one of my favorite hats, my loyal friend during cold days because due to its design and colour it matches with everything.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 17 - Le prénom en tricotin

Me gusta mucho experimentar con los hilos y uno de mis últimas creaciones ha sido hacer unos nombres de ganchillo para decorar una habitación infantil.

Para ello he seguido un tutorial de Petit Poulou que podéis encontrar aquí, aunque yo he hecho el cordón con ganchillo en lugar de utilizar un tricotín.

Había visto la idea hace tiempo pero hasta ahora no me había decidido a hacerlo. Me parece un elemento de decoración muy mono y muy versátil porque puede colocarse en la puerta, en una estantería, en un marco de fotos...

Ya se me han ocurrido más opciones en la misma línea, así que en cuanto pueda me pongo manos a la obra.

I like experimenting with yarn a lot and one of my latest creations has been making some crochet names for decorating a kids room.

To do so I followed  Petit Poulou's tutorial that you can find here, although I crocheted the cord instead of using the i-cord maker.

I had seen the idea a quite while ago but I hadn't decided myself to make it until now. I find it is a very cute and versatile decor element as it can be put on a door, a shelf, a frame...

I have already thought of more similar ideas, so as soon as I can I will get on with it.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 16 - Nordic Wool Rug

Mi último flechazo en ideas para decorar la casa es la preciosa alfombra Nordic Wool Rug  de Pickles. 

Me gusta mucho su aspecto rústico de lana gordita y la combinación de gris y amarillo limón, ideal para crear un ambiente de estilo nórdico.

Es un DIY fácil y rápido de hacer, así que si os apetece tener vuestra propia alfombra nórdica sólo tenéis que seguir las indicaciones de Pickles.


My latest love at first sight on home decor ideas is the pretty  Nordic Wool Rug  by  Pickles.

I like its rustic look of super chunky wool and the mix of grey and lemon yellow a lot, perfect for creating a Nordic style ambiance.

It is a very easy and quick DIY, so if you want to have your own nordic rug you only have to follow Pickles' instructions.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 15 - Crochet Watermelon Coasters

La sandía siempre ha sido una de mis frutas favoritas porque es refrescante y, sobre todo, porque es sinónimo de verano.

Por eso os propongo un DIY muy fácil y divertido para este verano: unos posavasos de ganchillo con forma de sandía.

La idea es de Marie LeBaron de make and takes y me encantó nada más verla (podéis encontrar el patrón aquí).

Para hacer los posavasos he utilizado un ganchillo del número 4 e hilo DMC Natura en doble hebra para que me quedaran un poquito más gorditos y mullidos.

No he podido evitar estrenarlos con un zumo de sandía y melón bien fresquito...

Watermelon has always been one of my favorite fruits because it is refreshing and, especially, because it is a synonym for summer.

That's why I am proposing you a very easy and fun DIY for this summer: crochet watermelon coasters.

It's an idea by Marie LeBaron from makes and takes and I loved it as soon as I saw it (you can find the pattern here).

To make the coasters I used a crochet hook number 4 and DMC Natura in double thread so it results a little bit thicker and fluffly.

I couldn't resist to use them with a refreshing watermelon and melon juice...
