Bolso de punto / Knit bag

Este verano, además de tejer cosas para bebés, he tenido tiempo para hacer un proyecto que me hacía mucha ilusión, una versión adaptada de mi bolso favorito de eccomin.

Es un diseño que siempre he querido hacer y como tenía unos ovillos de Phildar Amazone con una calidad muy similar a la del modelo original me pareció que podía quedar bien.

No es la primera vez que uso este hilo para hacer un bolso, ya que es el mismo que utilicé el año pasado para hacer el patrón "French Market Bag" así que parece que estos ovillos estén predestinados a convertirse en accesorios.

Como toque final, para el forro interior del bolso decidí utilizar la tela de una camisa que ya no me pongo pero que tiene un estampado que me encanta. La idea de utilizar la camisa surgió un poco por el Proyecto 333, ya que tras hacer limpieza en mi armario no me decidía a deshacerme de ella y se me ocurrió que podía darle una segunda vida utilizándola en alguno de mis proyectos. 

Aunque mi bolso no es exactamente como el original yo estoy encantada con el resultado y ya se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos.

This summer, in addition to knitting things for babies, I also had time to make a project I was very excited about, an adapted version of my favorite eccomin bag.

It is a design I have always wanted to make and as I had some  Phildar Amazone skeins which quality is very similar to the one of the original model I though it could come out well.

It is not the first time that I use this yarn to make a bag, as it is the same I used last year to make the "French Market Bag" pattern so it seems like these skeins are predestined to becoming accesories.

As final touch, for the inside lining I decided to use the fabric from a shirt I don't wear anymore but which has a print that I love. The idea of using the shirt kind of arose from Project 333, as after making a wardrobe clean out I couldn't get rid of it and I thought I could give it a second life using it in one of my projects.

Although my bag is not exactly as the original I am very happy with the result and it is already one of my favorites.

Bolso de Punto "eccomin" / "eccomin" Knit Bag

La primera vez que os hablé del trabajo de "eccomin"  fue en una publicación de 2014 y, desde entonces, no he dejado de seguirle la pista porque me encanta todo lo que hace.

Desde el primer momento tuve un auténtico flechazo con uno de sus bolsos de punto: el diseño, el color, la calidad del hilo... ¡Quería tejer uno igual para mí!

En aquel momento yo no imaginaba que llegaríamos a "conocernos" en el mundo virtual y gracias al libro que me regaló en 2016 ya he hecho varios de sus diseños. Sin embargo, la idea de reproducir ese bolso tan maravilloso siempre ha estado ahí y, por fin, me he animado a tejerlo.

Para hacerlo he ido un poco sobre seguro y he utilizado los ovillos gigantes Phil Express  de Phildar  que compré en "La Lainerie" en Burdeos ya que al ser lana muy gordita hacen que se avance muy rápido en la labor.

Cuando compré los ovillos la idea era utilizarlos para hacer un cuello de lana o una maxi bufanda pero cuando me decidí a hacer el bolso me pareció una buena idea utilizar esta lana tan gordita y, de hecho, me encanta cómo ha quedado.

Esta ha sido mi primera aproximación al icónico bolso de punto de eccomin pero, como podréis imaginar, ya tengo en mente repetir la idea con otro tipo de hilo para que se parezca más a la idea original.

The first time I told you about  eccomin's work was on a post in 2014 and, since then, I haven't stopped tracing her because I love everything she does.

Since the first moment I had a true crush with one of her knit bags: the design, the colour, the quality of the yarn... I wanted to knit another one for me!

At that moment I couldn't imagine we would "meet" each other in the virtual world and thanks to the book she gifted me in 2016 I have already made some of her designs. However, the idea of recreating that wonderful bag has always been there and, finally, I have decided myself to knitting it.

To make it I have played it safe and I have used the super sized  Phil Express skeins from  Phildar that I bought at  "La Lainerie" in Bordeaux because as it is a bulky yarn the knitting is done really fast.

When I bought the skeins the idea was to use them to make a cowl or a maxi scarf but when I decided to make the bag I thought it could be a good idea to use this bulky wool and, actually, I love the result.

This is my first contact with the iconic knit bag from  eccomin but, as you can imagine, I have already in mind repeating the idea with another type of yarn so it looks more like the original idea.

Trendy Châle

Uno de mis primeros proyectos de punto fue el "Trendy Châle" de Mlle. Sophie.

En aquel momento llevaba poco tiempo tejiendo y hacer algo diferente a una bufanda tradicional me parecía súper emocionante así que enseguida se convirtió en uno de mis proyectos favoritos.

Algunos años y varios diseños de Mlle. Sophie  después,  he tejido un nuevo "Trendy Châle"  para que su estilo "chic"  francés me inspire en los días de frío.

Además de estar encantada con el resultado también estoy muy orgullosa porque para tejerlo he utilizado unos ovillos de Phildar que llevaban mucho tiempo olvidados en mi "stash"  y  me parece que es una buena forma de empezar un nuevo año.

One of my first knitting projects was  Mlle. Sophie's "Trendy Châle".

At that moment I had been knitting for a little time and making something different to a traditional scarf seemed really thrilling so it quickly became one of my favorite projects.

Some years and several designs from  Mlle. Sophie after, I have knitted a new  "Trendy Châle" so its "chic" French style can inspire me on chilly days.

In addition to being very happy with the result I am also very proud as to knit it I have used some  Phildar skeins that had been forgotten for a long time in my stash and I think it is a good way to start a new year.

French Market Bag

Hace casi un mes os hablaba de mi primer proyecto del verano y ahora por fin puedo enseñaros el resultado.

Como ya os expliqué entonces, se trataba de uno de los bolsos de ganchillo que seleccioné como inspiración el año pasado (y que por falta de tiempo no pude hacer) así que ahora estoy más que contenta de haberlo terminado.

De las cinco ideas que os proponía, he escogido el patrón "French Market Bag"  de Two of Wands  porque me encanta su diseño de estilo francés (tal y como su nombre indica) y porque me parece perfecto para utilizar en verano.

Para hacer la bolsa he utilizado parte de unos ovillos de "Phildar Amazone"  que tenía en mi stash  desde hace años y el proceso ha sido bastante fácil y entretenido por lo que me parece que es un proyecto muy interesante para quienes estén empezando con el ganchillo.

Si os gustan este tipo de bolsas de ganchillo mi consejo es no tardéis tanto como yo en empezar a hacer la vuestra... ¡Os va a encantar!

P.D: Los ovillos "gigantes" que asoman por la bolsa también son de Phildar  y los compré el verano pasado en Burdeos

Almost one month ago  I told you about my first summer project and now I can finally show you the result.

As I already explained then, it was one of the crochet bags I chose as inspiration last year (and which I couldn't make due to the lack of time) so now I am more than happy for finishing it.

From the five ideas I suggested, I chose "French Market Bag"  by  Two of Wands because I love its french style design (just as its name implies) and because I think it is perfect for using during the summer.

To make the bag I have used some  "Phildar Amazone" balls I had in my stash since some years ago and the process was quite quickly and entertaining so I find it is a very interesting project for those who are starting crocheting.

If you like this kind of crochet bags my advice is that you don't take so much time as me in starting to make your own... You are going to love it!

P.S: The "giant" skeins that show up from the bag are also from  Phildar and I bought them last summer in Bordeaux

En proceso... / Work in progress...

Este año mi primer proyecto del verano es una idea de la que ya os he hablado pero que por falta de tiempo todavía no había podido hacer, un bolso de ganchillo hecho a mano.

Este tipo de bolsos están bastante de moda últimamente y al final el año pasado me quedé con las ganas de hacer uno así que no es raro que estuviera en el primer puesto de mi lista de proyectos por hacer.

Además, me viene muy bien para utilizar unos ovillos de Phildar  que tengo desde hace tiempo y para los que nunca encontraba un patrón adecuado.

De momento lo he cogido con muchas ganas y le estoy dedicando un ratito cada día así que espero poder enseñaros el resultado muy pronto.


This year my first summer project is an idea I had already told you about but due to the lack of time I haven't been able to make yet, a handmade crochet bag.

This kind of bags are quite trendy lately and at the end last year I really missed not making one so it is not strange that it was at the first position of my list of projects to make.

Furthermore, it is a good opportunity for me to use some Phildar skeins I've kept for a long time and for which I never found an adequate pattern.

At the moment I have started it very enthusiastically and I am spending some time on it each day so I hope I can show you the result very soon.

Conjuntos de cuello y gorro de lana / Wool snood and hat sets

Este año en Navidad he vuelto a ejercer de ayudante de Papá Noel y los Reyes Magos y he tejido dos conjuntos de cuello y gorro de lana para mi cuñada Rebeca y su hermana Laura.

La idea fue de mi cuñada y tras sugerirle varias propuestas al final se decidió por un patrón de Phildar de gorro y cuello de lana a juego.

Los dos conjuntos son iguales y están tejidos con lana Eskimo de DROPS en dos colores diferentes porque así si les apetece pueden intercambiárselos o incluso combinar una pieza de color.

Además, la lana color lila es la mismo que utilicé para tejer el gorro y la bufanda de mi sobrina que os enseñé aquí, así que ahora está encantada de ir vestida como su mami.

Seguro que este año no les importa que salga un día con mucho frío...


This year for Christmas I've again served as an assistant of Santa and the Three Wise Kings and I have knitted two pairs of wool snoods and hats for my sister-in-law Rebeca and her sister Laura.

It was my sister-in-law who came up with the idea and after suggesting her several proposals she chose a  Phildar pattern of matching hat and snood.

The two sets are identical and they are knitted with DROPS Eskimo wool in two different colours so they can exchange them if they want or even combine a garment of each colour.

In addition, the lilac wool is the same I used to knit my niece's hat and scarf that I showed you here ,so now she is delighted to wear as her mommy.

I am sure that this year they won't mind if the day is too cold...

Jersey y patucos para niño / Sweater and booties for a baby boy

Hasta ahora casi todo lo que he tejido para bebés han sido cosas para niñas así que ya tenía ganas de cambiar un poco y hacer algo para un niño.

Sí que es cierto que parece que con las niñas es más fácil acertar pero también hay cosas muy bonitas para niño.

Mi idea era tejer algo en punto bobo porque es mi punto favorito en la ropa de bebé (queda muy mono en cualquier prenda) así que me decidí por este conjunto de bebé de jersey y patucos de Phildar.

El jersey es muy sencillo pero también es muy fácil de combinar y queda bien con casi todo: un pantalón, un pijama, una ranita... y los patucos a juego le dan el toque final.

Ya me estoy imaginando un montón de jerséis de bebé iguales tejidos en diferentes colores ¿no serían una monada?

Until the moment almost every thing I have knitted for babies were things for girls so I was already willing to change for a while and make something for a boy.

It is true that it seems that it is easier to find things for girls but there are also very pretty things for baby boys.

My idea was to knit something in garter stitch because it is my favorite stitch for baby clothes (it looks so cute in any garment) so I decided myself for this baby set of sweater and booties by Phildar.

The sweater is very simple but it is also very easy to match and it fits well with almost everything: pants, a pyjama, bloomers... and matching baby booties add the final touch.

I am already picturing a lot of identic knitted baby sweaters in different colours, wouldn't they be adorable?

Chai

La semana pasada cuando os enseñé mi  gorro Hibiscus os conté que gracias a él estaba participando en el (Virtual) Tea Party un KAL lleno de sorpresas y regalos.

El gran sorteo de regalos se realizará a partir del  31 de diciembre pero yo he tenido la suerte de ganar uno de los premios sorpresa previos, un patrón a mi elección de la Tea Collection de Clare Devine.

Aunque todos los patrones me gustan, no me costó mucho decidirme porque ya tenía echado el ojo al gorro Chai, además de tener el nombre de uno de mis tés favoritos me encantaba por su enorme pompón.

Para hacerlo he utilizado unos ovillos de lana Phildar Nebuleuse que tenía guardados desde hace tiempo con lo que he contribuido a reducir un poco mi stash (voy mejorando...).

Ahora estoy esperando para poder lucirlo en este frío invierno que no acaba de llegar...

Last week when I showed you my Hibiscus hat I told you that thanks to it I was taking part in the (Virtual) Tea Party a KAL full of surprises and gifts.

The big giveaway will take place after December 31st but I've been so lucky to win one of the previous surprise gifts, a pattern of my choice from  Clare Devine's Tea Collection.

Although I like all the patterns, it wasn't too difficult to decide because Chai hat had already caught my attention, in addition to having the name of one of my favorite teas I loved it for its huge pom pom.

To make it I used some balls of wool from Phildar Nebuleuse which I had had for a while so I have also contributed to reducing my stash a little bit (I am making some progresses...).

Now I am waiting to wear it in this cold winter that is taking its time to arrive...

Chaqueta de verano para Nora / Summer cardigan for Nora

A pesar de que  este verano he estado un  poco liada he sacado tiempo para hacer una chaqueta de punto para mi sobrina.

He seguido un patrón de Phildar  que en el catálogo hace juego con este vestidito que le hice el año pasado, aunque vistas así cada prenda por su lado y en tamaños diferentes parece que no tienen nada que ver la una con la otra.

El algodón que he utilizado para tejer la chaqueta es DROPS Safran en color rojo cobrizo y me encanta porque tiene un tono muy bonito y muy favorecedor.

Mi sobrina está muy guapa con la chaqueta aunque crece tan rápido que las cosas que le hago sólo le duran un par de meses...

Even though I've been quite busy this summer I have found some time to make a knitted cardigan for my niece.

I followed a Phildar  pattern that in their catalogue matches this little dress I made for her last year, although looking at each garment separately and in different sizes it seems like they have nothing in common one with another.

The cotton I used to knit the cardigan is  DROPS Safran in rust red and I love it because it has a beautiful shade and it is really fetching.

My niece looks very pretty with the cardigan although she grows so quickly that the things I make for her only last a couple of months...

Sailor Baby

Uno de los proyectos que me ha tenido ocupada este verano ha sido un conjunto de bebé de camiseta de rayas marineras y braguita a juego.

Desde siempre las camisetas de estilo marinero ha sido una de mis prendas favoritas así que me encantaba la idea de hacer una para un bebé. No sabía muy bien por donde empezar, pero en cuanto encontré el patrón Baby Tee de Kate Oates  lo tuve claro.

Elegir la braguita fue mucho más fácil porque había un patrón de Phildar que llevaba tiempo queriendo hacer, así que me pareció el momento ideal.

El resultado es el que veis en las fotos: un conjunto muy fresquito perfecto para disfrutar del verano como una pequeña marinera.

One of the projects that has keeped me busy this summer is a navy striped tee and matching bloomers baby outfit .

Navy styled tees have always been one of my favourtite garments so I loved the idea of making one for a baby. I didn't know well where to start from but as soon as I found Kate Oates' Baby Tee pattern it was clear to me.

Choosing the bloomers was much more easier as there was a  Phildar pattern I've been willing to make for a long time, so it seemed like the right moment.

The result is what you see in the pictures: a very fresh outfit perfect to enjoy summer as a wee sailor girl.

Chaqueta de punto con capucha / Knitted hooded cardigan

En mi cesta de labores siempre hay algo para mi sobrina y lo último que he tejido para ella ha sido una chaqueta con capucha en color rosa fucsia.

A pesar de su sencillez siempre me han gustado este tipo de chaquetas de bebé en punto bobo, me parecen muy prácticas y los peques están muy monos con el gorrito. 

El patrón lo he sacado de un catálogo de Phildar y he utilizado su  lana Partner 6  mezcla de acrílico, lana y poliamida.

La verdad es que a mi sobrina la chaqueta todavía le queda un poco grande, pero estoy segura de que le va a dar mucho uso en los próximos meses.


In my knitting basket there's always something for my niece and the last thing I've knitted for her is a hooded cardigan in fuchsia pink.

Despite its simplicity I have always loved this kind of garter stitch baby cardigans, I find them very practical and the little ones are very cute when they wear the hood.

I took the pattern from a Phildar catalogue and I've used their Partner 6 yarn, a blend of acrylic, wool and polyamide.

The truth is the cardigan still looks a little bit big on my niece, but I am pretty sure that she will use it a lot during the following months.

Happy (Crafting) Weekend

Esta semana un virus estomacal me ha dejado fuera de juego y, a pesar de haber estado algunos días en casa, no he sido capaz de tejer nada así que no he podido avanzar ninguno de mis proyectos pendientes. 

Por suerte el fin de semana se presenta tranquilo y ahora que tengo energías renovadas voy a poder recuperar el tiempo perdido.

This week I've suffered from a stomach virus that has thrown me off guard and, eventhough I've been some days at home, I've been unable to knit anything so I couldn't progress in any of my ongoing projects.

Luckily this weekend is going to be a quiet one so now that I have renewed energies I will be able to recover lost time.

Jersey de bebé / Baby sweater

Justo antes de Navidad terminé un regalo muy especial para Nora, una pequeñina que se llama igual que mi sobrina y que tiene unos papis con los que compartí muchas aventuras en mi época universitaria.

Como en otras ocasiones en las que he tenido que tejer para bebés recurrí a un patrón de Phildar (ya sabéis que sus catálogos me encantan) y escogí un jersey muy sencillito adornado con dos pequeños lazos.

Me llevó algo de tiempo hacerlo porque se teje cada pieza por separado pero aún así, mereció la pena hacerlo porque es una auténtica monada y sé que Nora lo va a disfrutar mucho.


Just before Christmas I finished a very special gift for Nora, a little baby girl named as my niece and whose daddy and mummy shared many adventures with me during my university years.

As in other occasions when I had to knit for babies I chose a pattern from Phildar (you already know that I love their catalogues) and I selected a very simple sweater embellished by two little bows.

It took me quite a while to make it because each piece is knitted separately but even so, making it was worth it as it is really cute and I know that Nora is going to enjoy it a lot.
