Bolsito de verano de punto / Summer knit sachet

Cuando eccomin  me envió su libro de accesorios hace unos años me propuse ir haciendo todos los diseños poco a poco y este verano he avanzado un poquito más en mi propósito tejiendo un bolsito de verano.

Desde el principio tenía claro cuál era el modelo que iba a hacer pero no sabía qué hilo utilizar hasta que encontré la variedad "Veggie Wool"  de Casa Sol  que me pareció perfecta para tejer mi bolsito.

La siguiente elección un poco "complicada" fue escoger la tela para el forro interior porque tenía varias que me gustaban y, en este caso, me decidí por una tela estampada con mandalas de colores que contrasta muy bien con el color rosa del hilo.

Como siempre que hago un diseño de eccomin  me encanta el resultado y, si me seguís por Instagram, ya habréis visto que  cómo queda el bolsito.

When  eccomin sent me her accesories book a couple of years ago I was decided to make all the designs little by little and this summer I have moved a little bit forward in my resolution by knitting a summer sachet.

Since the beginning I knew the pattern I was going to make but I didn't know which yarn to use until I found  "Veggie Wool" range by  Casa Sol which seemed perfect to knit my sachet.

The next a little bit "difficult" choice was choosing the fabric for the linen as I had several ones I liked and, in this case, I chose a printed fabric with colour mandalas which contrasts very well with the pink colour of the yarn.

As every time I make a design from  eccomin I love the result and, if you follow me on Instagram, you would have already seen how the sachet looks like.

En mi lista de proyectos de verano siempre hay hueco para hacer algún bolsito de punto o ganchillo y este año no iba a ser menos.

Para escoger el modelo he recurrido otra vez al libro de eccomin  y es que me gustan tanto sus diseños que me he propuesto hacerlos todos poco a poco.

Todavía tengo que terminar algunas cosas antes de empezar a hacer mi bolsito pero estoy deseando ponerme a ello...

On my list of summer projects there's always space to make a knit or crochet bag and this year it won't be different.

To choose the pattern I have returned again to  eccomin's book as I like her design that much that I have decided to make all of them little by little.

I still have to finish some things before I start making my bag but I am really looking forward to it...

Bolso de punto / Knit bag

Este verano, además de tejer cosas para bebés, he tenido tiempo para hacer un proyecto que me hacía mucha ilusión, una versión adaptada de mi bolso favorito de eccomin.

Es un diseño que siempre he querido hacer y como tenía unos ovillos de Phildar Amazone con una calidad muy similar a la del modelo original me pareció que podía quedar bien.

No es la primera vez que uso este hilo para hacer un bolso, ya que es el mismo que utilicé el año pasado para hacer el patrón "French Market Bag" así que parece que estos ovillos estén predestinados a convertirse en accesorios.

Como toque final, para el forro interior del bolso decidí utilizar la tela de una camisa que ya no me pongo pero que tiene un estampado que me encanta. La idea de utilizar la camisa surgió un poco por el Proyecto 333, ya que tras hacer limpieza en mi armario no me decidía a deshacerme de ella y se me ocurrió que podía darle una segunda vida utilizándola en alguno de mis proyectos. 

Aunque mi bolso no es exactamente como el original yo estoy encantada con el resultado y ya se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos.

This summer, in addition to knitting things for babies, I also had time to make a project I was very excited about, an adapted version of my favorite eccomin bag.

It is a design I have always wanted to make and as I had some  Phildar Amazone skeins which quality is very similar to the one of the original model I though it could come out well.

It is not the first time that I use this yarn to make a bag, as it is the same I used last year to make the "French Market Bag" pattern so it seems like these skeins are predestined to becoming accesories.

As final touch, for the inside lining I decided to use the fabric from a shirt I don't wear anymore but which has a print that I love. The idea of using the shirt kind of arose from Project 333, as after making a wardrobe clean out I couldn't get rid of it and I thought I could give it a second life using it in one of my projects.

Although my bag is not exactly as the original I am very happy with the result and it is already one of my favorites.

Cartera de punto eccomin / eccomin Knit purse

 

Hace casi un año empecé a tejer uno de los proyectos del libro de eccomin  y nunca llegué a terminarlo del todo porque odio coser cremalleras.

Así que, este verano una de mis prioridades ha sido retomarlo porque me gustaba demasiado como para dejarlo en la cesta de los proyectos olvidados.

El primer paso fue escoger la tela del forro para poder comprar una cremallera a juego y, luego ya, armarme de paciencia para coser todo el conjunto poco a poco.

A pesar de mis dudas, la verdad es que no ha sido ningún desastre así que, por fin, puedo lucir orgullosa mi cartera de punto de rayas de eccomin.

Seguramente la usaré para llevarla dentro del bolso porque me encanta tener las cosas guardadas en todo tipo de carteras para poder localizarlas rápido.

P.D: Soy muy fan del trabajo de eccomin  y en estos momentos tengo otro proyecto suyo en curso... Hasta que lo termine podéis ver todos los que he hecho hasta el momento aquí

Almost one year ago I started knitting one of the project from  eccomin's book and I never really finished it because I hate sewing zippers.

So, this summer one of my priorities was getting back to it because I liked it so much as to just leave it in the forgotten projects basket.

The first step was choosing the lining fabric so I could buy a matching zipper and, after that, arming myself with patience to gently ses the whole.

Despite my dubt, actually it wasn't any kind of disaster so, finally, I can proudly wear my striped  eccomin knit purse.

Probably I will use it to carry it inside my handbag because I love to have all my things kept inside all kinds of purses so I can easily find them.

Bolso de Punto "eccomin" / "eccomin" Knit Bag

La primera vez que os hablé del trabajo de "eccomin"  fue en una publicación de 2014 y, desde entonces, no he dejado de seguirle la pista porque me encanta todo lo que hace.

Desde el primer momento tuve un auténtico flechazo con uno de sus bolsos de punto: el diseño, el color, la calidad del hilo... ¡Quería tejer uno igual para mí!

En aquel momento yo no imaginaba que llegaríamos a "conocernos" en el mundo virtual y gracias al libro que me regaló en 2016 ya he hecho varios de sus diseños. Sin embargo, la idea de reproducir ese bolso tan maravilloso siempre ha estado ahí y, por fin, me he animado a tejerlo.

Para hacerlo he ido un poco sobre seguro y he utilizado los ovillos gigantes Phil Express  de Phildar  que compré en "La Lainerie" en Burdeos ya que al ser lana muy gordita hacen que se avance muy rápido en la labor.

Cuando compré los ovillos la idea era utilizarlos para hacer un cuello de lana o una maxi bufanda pero cuando me decidí a hacer el bolso me pareció una buena idea utilizar esta lana tan gordita y, de hecho, me encanta cómo ha quedado.

Esta ha sido mi primera aproximación al icónico bolso de punto de eccomin pero, como podréis imaginar, ya tengo en mente repetir la idea con otro tipo de hilo para que se parezca más a la idea original.

The first time I told you about  eccomin's work was on a post in 2014 and, since then, I haven't stopped tracing her because I love everything she does.

Since the first moment I had a true crush with one of her knit bags: the design, the colour, the quality of the yarn... I wanted to knit another one for me!

At that moment I couldn't imagine we would "meet" each other in the virtual world and thanks to the book she gifted me in 2016 I have already made some of her designs. However, the idea of recreating that wonderful bag has always been there and, finally, I have decided myself to knitting it.

To make it I have played it safe and I have used the super sized  Phil Express skeins from  Phildar that I bought at  "La Lainerie" in Bordeaux because as it is a bulky yarn the knitting is done really fast.

When I bought the skeins the idea was to use them to make a cowl or a maxi scarf but when I decided to make the bag I thought it could be a good idea to use this bulky wool and, actually, I love the result.

This is my first contact with the iconic knit bag from  eccomin but, as you can imagine, I have already in mind repeating the idea with another type of yarn so it looks more like the original idea.

Mini bolsito de ganchillo / Mini crochet bag

Justo antes de irme de vacaciones terminé el bolsito de eccomin  del que tanto os he hablado y no veía la hora de enseñaros el resultado.

Como ya os adelanté, en mi caso se ha quedado en mini bolsito de ganchillo aunque igualmente estoy encantada con el resultado. ¡Me parece monísimo!

Además, lo voy a utilizar para algo muy práctico. En verano casi siempre llevo algo para protegerme de los aires acondicionados así que se me ha ocurrido que este bolsito es del tamaño perfecto para guardar los fulares en mi bolso sin que se estropeen.

Just before leaving for my holidays I finished the little bag by  eccomin I have told you so many times about and I couldn't wait to show you the result.

As I already anticipated, in my case it resulted into a mini chrochet bag although I am equally satisfied with the result. I find it so cute!

In addition, I am going to make a very practical use of it. In summer I almost always wear something to protect me from air-conditioning so I thought that this mini bag has the perfect size to keep foulards in my handbag while protecting them from getting damaged.

Triangles Pouch

Por fin puedo enseñaros... ¡mi primer proyecto del libro de eccomin!

Ya sabéis que soy una gran fan del trabajo de eccomin así que no es de extrañar que desde el primer momento me enamorara de los preciosos diseños de bolsos, bolsitas, fundas... que ha recogido en su libro. 

Aunque no ha sido fácil elegir por dónde empezar finalmente me he decidido por un proyecto al que yo he bautizado como "Triangles Pouch" (seguramente tiene otro nombre pero como el libro está en japonés no me ha quedado muy claro...).

No es un patrón complicado de hacer pero me gusta mucho como combina el punto del derecho y del revés para formar los triángulos, es algo muy sencillo pero con un toque especial a la vez.

Los colores que he escogido son una de mis combinaciones favoritas: gris, amarillo mostaza y morado. Al principio había pensado utilizar una tela de rayas negras para el forro (la podéis ver aquí) pero cuando escogí el color para el cierre me pareció que con rayas moradas iba a quedar mucho mejor.

Creo que he encontrado la bolsita pefecta para guardar mis pequeños tesoros...

Finally I can show you... my first project from eccomin's book!

You already know I am a big fan of the work of eccomin so it was not strange for me to fall in love with the beautiful designs of bags, pouches, sleeves... from her book since the very first moment.

Although it was not easy to choose where to start from I finally selected a project which I have named as "Triangles Pouch" (it surely has another name but as the book is in Japanese it is not very clear to me...).

It is not a difficult pattern to make but I like how it mixes knit and purl stitches to form the triangles, it is something quite simple but with a special touch at the same time.

The colours I have chosen are one of my favorite colour combos: grey, mustard yellow and purple. At first I thought of using a fabric with black stripes for the lining (you can see it here) but when I chose the colour for the closing I thought that it would look much better with purple stripes.

I think I have found the perfect pouch to keep my little treasures...
