Baby Bear

A finales de diciembre os daba pistas sobre algo que estaba tejiendo en color mostaza y, ahora que su pequeña destinataria ya ha nacido, por fin os puedo puedo enseñar el proyecto terminado.

Se trata de un bucito de bebé de punto con orejas de osito que he tejido siguiendo el patrón "Baby Bear"  de Amstrup,  algo muy diferente a todos los proyectos de bebé que he hecho hasta el momento.

La idea era hacer una prenda para utilizar los días de frío así que está tejido con hilo DROPS Nepal  que es una mezcla de lana y alpaca muy suave y calentita, sin olvidar que tiene un tono amarillo mostaza precioso (algo muy importante para este proyecto).

Para mi sorpresa se teje más rápido de lo que parece y hacer las trenzas siempre es muy entretenido así que ya se ha convertido en uno de mis patrones favoritos de prendas para bebés.

At the end  of december I gave you some hints about something I was knitting in mustard colour and, now that its wee recipient is born, I can finally show you the finished project.

It is a knitted baby onesie with bear ears that I have made following  "Baby Bear" pattern by  Amstrup, something very different to all the baby projects I have made so far.

The idea was to make an outfit to be used with cold weather so it is knitted with  DROPS Nepal yarn which is a very soft and warm mix of wool and alpaca, without forgetting its beautiful mustard yellow tone (something very important for this project).

To my surprise it is knitted faster than it seems and making the cables is always very entertaining so it has already become one of my favorite patterns for baby outfits.

Cómo llevarlo: Cuello de lana rosa / How to wear it: Pink wool cowl

Uno de mis últimos proyectos del invierno pasado fue un cuello de lana rosa que compartí en este patrón gratuito y como en las últimas semanas está recibiendo muchas visitas se me ha ocurrido que era un buen candidato para la sección "Cómo llevarlo".

Para combinarlo he buscado tres opciones muy prácticas y cómodas pero en realidad un cuello de punto es una prenda muy versátil así que podría llevarse con cualquier cosa.

One of my latest projects from last winter was a pink wool cowl which I shared in this free pattern and as during the last weeks it has received many visits I thought it would be a good candidate for "How to wear it" section.

In order to combine it I have searched three options which are very practical and comfortable but in fact a knitted cowl is a very versatile garment so it can be worn with almost anything.

I hope you will like my selection...

Cómo llevarlo {mini}: Jersey de bebé / How to wear it {mini}: Baby cardigan

Este verano inauguré la sección "Cómo llevarlo" con la idea de mostraros cómo combinaría yo algunas de las cosas que he hecho y esta vez os propongo tres formas de llevar el jersey de bebé amarillo que tejí hace unos meses.

Para ir sobre seguro he optado por colores neutros como el gris y el crudo porque aunque el amarillo es uno de los colores que más me gusta reconozco que puede resultar complicado encontrar otro color con el que quede bien.

Espero que os gusten los tres estilos diferentes que he escogido y que os sirvan de inspiración para vestir a vuestros pequeñines este otoño.


This summer I started a section called "How to wear it" aiming at showing you how I would match some of the things I've made and this time I suggest you three ways of wearing the yellow baby sweater I knitted a couple of months ago.

To play it safe I've selected some neutral colours such as grey and ecru as even though yellow is one of the colours I like the most I admit that it can be a little bit tricky to find another colour to match with.

I hope you will like the three different styles I've chosen and that they will be an inspiration for you to dress your little ones this Autumn.

Cómo llevarlo: Sombrero estilo étnico / How to wear it: Ethnic style hat

Aunque últimamente no tengo mucho tiempo libre, no paro de pensar ideas nuevas para el blog así que con esta entrada inauguro una nueva sección llamada "Cómo llevarlo" dónde quiero enseñaros cómo combinaría yo algunas de las cosas hechas por mí en punto, ganchillo, costura...

Así, aprovechando que estamos en verano me ha parecido buena idea empezar por el sombrero de estilo étnico que os enseñaba a hacer en este fácil DIY y he escogido tres estilos diferentes para combinarlo:

• Día de playa
• Conjunto de día
• Tarde chic

Espero que os gusten mis propuestas y que disfrutéis con esta nueva sección del blog.

Although lately I don't have much spare time, I am always thinking new ideas for the blog so with this post I am starting a new section named "How to wear it" where I want to show you how I would match some of the things I've knitted, crocheted, sewed...

So, as we are in summertime I think it is a good idea to start with the ethnic style hat I taught you to make in this easy DIY and I've chosen three different styles to combine it:

• Beach day
• Day look
• Chic afternoon
