Teje tu propio - jersey inspiración Sézane / Knit your own - Sézane inspired sweater

 

Hace unos meses os contaba cómo cada vez que veo una prenda de punto que me gusta mucho tengo la tentación de intentar tejerla y esto es algo que me ocurre a menudo con los preciosos jerséis de la marca francesa Sézane.

La verdad es que como tejedora me parece muy entretenido encontrar ideas similares y, casi por casualidad, he dado con el patrón "Elna T-shirt"  de Novita Knits  que bien podría ser una alternativa perfecta para tejer una versión hecha a mano del jersey de punto "Marceau"  de la colección de primavera de Sézane  del año pasado.

Obviamente es imposible que el resultado sea el mismo pero no hay que olvidar que en la moda es muy importante experimentar y esta podría ser la  ocasión perfecta para hacerlo.

¿Qué os parece mi propuesta? 

A couple of months ago I told you how each time I see a knit garment that I like a lot I am tempted to trying to knit it and this is something that happens quite often to me with  Sézane brand beautiful sweaters.

Actually as a knitter I find quite entertaining finding similar ideas and, almost by chance, I stumbled upon  "Elna T-shirt" pattern by Novita Knits that could perfectly be the ideal alternative to knit a handmade version of the  "Marceau" knit sweater from last year's Sézane spring collection.

Obviously it is impossible that the result is the same but it is importan not to forget that in fashion it is very important to experiment and this could be the perfect occasion to do it.

Inspiración / Inspiration: Mooi van draad

Siempre me ha gustado mucho la idea de bordar con lana en prendas de punto y buscando inspiración en Pinterest descubrí "Mooi van Draad"  el blog de Nienke Landman donde muestra sus creaciones y patrones de ganchillo y bordado.

Entre sus proyectos hay un poco de todo pero el elemento común de todos ellos es que siempre utiliza colores muy alegres y eso es algo que me encanta.

Mi proyecto favorito son los calcetines con flores bordadas aunque, como tejer calcetines no es lo mío, creo que en mi caso utilizaría la idea en una bufanda o en un gorro de lana.

¿Qué os parece?

I've always liked the idea of using wool to embroider knit garments and looking for some inspiration on  Pinterest I came accross with Nienke Landman's "Mooi van Draad"  blog  where she shows her crochet and embroidery works and patterns.

Among her projects there is a little bit of everything but the common element of them all is that she always uses very bright colours and that is something that I love.

My favorite project are the socks embroidered with flowers although, as knitting socks is not my thing, I think that in my case I would use the idea on a wool scarf or hat.

Inspiración: London Kaye / Inspiration: London Kaye

Gracias a Pinterest  hace unos meses descubrí a London Kaye, una artista callejera de Brooklyn conocida por sus obras de "yarn bombing" en lugares públicos de Nueva York, Venice Beach, Roma y Ciudad de México.

Me llamó mucho la atención su trabajo porque sus creaciones son bastante grandes y destacan por su colorido pero además normalmente incluyen algún mensaje ingenioso que las hace únicas.

Algo que me parece digno de admirar es que hace todo ella sola. Creo que es un trabajo enorme para una sola persona pero al mismo tiempo me puedo imaginar lo emocionante y divertido que tiene que ser.

También ha hecho campañas para marcas como Gap, Red Valentino o Starbucks y me encanta porque significa que ha conseguido convertir su pasión en una forma de ganarse la vida.

¿No os dan ganas de coger vuestras agujas de ganchillo y "bombardearlo" todo?


Thanks to  Pinterest a couple of months ago I discovered  London Kaye, a street artist from Brooklyn who is known by her yarn bombing works in public places of New York, Venice Beach, Rome and Mexico City.

I was very surprised by her work as her creations are quite big and they stand out by their colours but they also usually add playful messages which makes them unique.

Something that I find remarkable is that she makes everything by herself. I think it is a lot of work just for one person but at the same time I can imagine how exciting and entertaining it has to be.

She has also made campaigns for brands such as  Gap, Red Valentino or Starbucks, and I love it because it means that she has succeeded in transforming her passion into a way of  making a living.

Don't you feel like grabbing your crochet hooks and "bombing" everything?

Craft Books ♥ 10 - Mi Muñeca de Ganchillo / My Crochet Doll

¿Conocéis la colección de ilustraciones "Quand je serai grand" ?

Su autora es Isabelle Kessedjian  quien además de ser una artista del dibujo es una apasionada del ganchillo que ha conseguido unir sus dos pasiones en el libro "Mi Muñeca de Ganchillo" .

Seguro que ya habéis visto alguna de sus muñecas de amigurumi en Pinterest  y es que lo genial de este libro es que la muñeca es siempre la misma pero diferente al mismo tiempo ya que podemos personalizarla escogiendo un tipo de hilo diferente para el pelo y añadiendo una gran variedad de complementos (vestidos, sombreros, zapatos, bolsos...).

Entre mis favoritas están la superheroína y la colegiala aunque he empezado realizando otros dos modelos que os enseñaré pronto.

¿No os encantaría tener la colección completa de muñecas?

Do you know  " Quand je serai grand" illustration series?

The author is Isabelle Kessedjian who apart from being a drawing artist is a crochet lover that has succeeded in joining her two passions in the book " My Crochet Doll".

Certainly you have already seen some of her amigurumi dolls in  Pinterest as the great thing about this book is that the doll is always the same but different at the same time as we can customise it choosing a different yarn for the hair and adding a wide range of accesories (dresses, hats, shoes, bags...).

The superheroine and the school girl are among my favorites although I have started by making two other designs that I will show you soon.

Wouldn't you love to have the full collection of dolls?

Vuelvo con esta sección que tenía un poco olvidada pero que me gustaría seguir actualizando porque me encanta descubrir a gente creativa y compartir su trabajo.

En esta ocasión es el turno de studiomeez una bonita tienda donde podemos encontrar artículos de punto y tela, así como ilustraciones muy originales.

Me gustan mucho sus creaciones porque son sencillas pero tienen mucho encanto, me parecen el regalo perfecto para los amantes del diseño.

Mis favoritos son los cojines con forma de manzana y el cuadro de la chica con la Monstera (esa planta que está tan de moda ahora).

¿Con cuál os quedariáis?

I am back with this section that I have neglected a little bit but which I would love to continue updating because I love discovering creative people and sharing their work.

In this occasion it is the turn of  studiomeez a nice shop where we can find knitted and fabric goods, as well as very original illustrations.

I like these creations a lot because they are simple but lovely at the same time, I find them the perfect gift for design lovers.

My favorites are the apple shaped cushions and the illustration with the girl and the Monstera (that plan which is such a trend righ now).

Which one would you choose?

El jersey de bebé más famoso de Pinterest / The most popular baby sweater in Pinterest

Si Camilla Babe es el jersey más famoso de Instagram, el jersey de bebé con botones en el pecho es el más popular de Pinterest.

El jersey lleva tiempo guardado en mi tablero "For the Little Ones" esperando una ocasión para hacerlo y en los últimos meses he tenido la suerte de tejerlo dos veces para regalar a dos pequeñines. 

Parece que no hay un patrón original con las indicaciones (o al menos yo no he encontrado ninguna referencia a él) pero existen blogs en los que se describe cómo hacerlo, lo que ha contribuido a aumentar su popularidad.

Las instrucciones que yo he seguido son la versión en francés de Les Tricots de Granny porque fue la primera que descubrí pero también existe una en castellano de Creativa Atelier con fotos donde se puede ver muy bien el paso a paso.

A mí el jersey me parece una auténtica monada así que, en realidad, no me extraña que tenga tanto éxito.


If  Camilla Babe is the most famous sweater in Instagram, the baby sweater with buttons in the front is the most popular in Pinterest.

The sweater has been on my "For the Litte Ones" board for a while waiting for the moment to be made and in the last months I have been lucky enough to made it twice to give as present to two little babies.

It seems that there is not an original pattern with the instructions (or at least I haven't found any reference to it) but there are some blogs describing how to make it, which has contributed to increasing its popularity.

The instructions I've followed are the French version by Les Tricots de Granny because it was the first one I discovered but there is also another one in Spanish by Creativa Atelier with pictures where you can see very well the steps to follow.

I find that the sweater is such a cutie so, actually, I don't think its succes is something strange.
  

Craft Books ♥ 9 - Laura Ameba

Hace unos años compré un kit de aguja mágica que todavía no he estrenado, algo muy típico en mí…

Desde entonces he ido coleccionando ideas que me gustaban en mi tablero Punch Needle de Pinterest y uno de los nombres que más se repetía en los diseños era el de Laura Ameba, una chilena afincada en Barcelona que con sus bordados maravillosos ha conquistado Japón donde ha publicado su primer libro.

A pesar de que el libro sólo está escrito en japonés no podía no tenerlo en  mi biblioteca craft así que desde principios de año tengo mi copia llegada directamente de Japón con dedicatoria y regalitos sorpresa incluidos.

Aunque no domino el idioma, no resulta complicado entender las instrucciones porque incluye dibujos en los que se indica cómo realizar los distintos tipos de bordados y hay varias fotos explicativas del paso a paso.

Este es el segundo libro llegado de Japón que se incorpora a mi colección (el primero fue el de mi admirada eccomin) y no creo que sea el último porque sus libros de manualidades son de los más bonitos que hay.

Ahora sólo me hace falta empezar a practicar...


A couple of years ago I bought a punch needle set which I haven't used yet, something very typical of me...

Since then I've been collecting some ideas I liked on my Punch Needle board in Pinterest and one of the names I saw the most was Laura Ameba, a girl from Chile settled in Barcelona who has conquered Japan with her embroideries where she has published her first book.

Despite the book being written in Japanese only I just couldn't resist not having it in my craft library so since the beginning of the year I have my own copy directly arrived from Japan with a dedication and some surprise gifts included.

Although I don't speak the language it is not difficult to understand the instructions as it includes drawings showing how to make the different types of embroidery stitches and there are some step by step explanatory pictures.

This is the second book arrived from Japan joining my collection (the first one was from my admired eccomin) and I don't think it would be the last one because their craft books are the most beautiful ones.

Now I only have to start practising...

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 19 - Mini granny square crochet baskets

Desde siempre me han encantado las cajas, botes, cestas... y demás objetos de almacenamiento así que hacer unas cestitas de ganchillo me parece un DIY de lo más práctico y divertido.

La idea la descubrí en Pinterest hace tiempo y me gustó mucho porque es muy fácil de hacer y me parece una buena oportunidad para utilizar restos de ovillos (ya veis que yo sigo con mi objetivo de reducir stash en mente).

Podéis encontrar el tutorial detallado en This Little Street y el dato curioso es que hasta hace poco no me había dado cuenta de que su autora es Victoria alias Vika Moka a quien sigo en Instagram desde hace unos meses (¡me encanta cuando ocurren estas maravillosas casualidades!).

¿No me digáis que las cestas no son una monada?

I have always loved boxes, pots, baskets... and any other storage objects so I find making crochet mini baskets a very practical and entertaining DIY.

I discovered the idea on Pinterest some time ago and I liked it a lot because it is very easy to make and it seems a good opportunity to use skein leftovers (you see that my goal of reducing stash is still on my mind).

You can find the detailed tutorial on This Little Street and the fun fact is that until a little time ago I hadn't realized that the author is Victoria, alias Vika Moka, whom I follow on Instagram since a couple of months ago (I love when this wonderful coincidences happen!).

Ikea hacks # 1 - Lapiceros y washi tape / Pencils and washi tape

Soy una gran fan de IKEA y uno de los motivos por los que me gusta tanto es porque sus artículos pueden ser interpretados de muchas maneras diferentes.

Por eso hoy estreno la sección "IKEA Hacks" donde os iré mostrando como he adaptado a mi gusto algunos de sus objetos.

Voy a empezar con una idea muy sencilla que está al alcance de cualquiera y que incluye un elemento conocido por todos/as: los lapiceros de IKEA.

Estoy segura de que la mayoría tenéis alguno por casa, así que siguiendo esta idea que he visto en Pinterest  podéis personalizarlos con washi tape.

En mi caso podría decirse que es un doble hack porque tres de los rollos de washi tape son de IKEA (aunque en su web sólo he encontrado la cinta FRAMSTÄLLA de lunares rosas).

Es una manualidad para niños muy fácil  para que puedan hacer sus propios lapiceros personalizados

Ya sabéis, en vuestra próxima visita IKEA no olvidéis coger algún lápiz de más.


I am great fan of IKEA and one of the reasons why I like it so much is because its items can be understood in many different ways.

That's the reason why today I start the "IKEA Hacks" section where I will show you how I adapt to my liking some of their articles.

I will start with a very simple idea that anyone can do and which involves an element which is widely known: IKEA pencils.

I am sure that most of you have some at home, so following this idea I saw on Pinterest you can customize them with washi tape.

In my case I could say it is a double hack as three of the washi tape rolls are from IKEA (although I only found the pink polka dots FRAMSTÄLLA tape in their web).

It is a very easy DIY for children so they can have their own custom pencils.

You know, the next time you visit IKEA don't forget to pick some extra pencils.

Funda de punto para la agenda / Daily planner knitted cover

Este es uno de esos "hazlo tú mismo" que me da mucha rabia que no se me haya ocurrido a mí antes: una funda de punto para la agenda.

 

La idea la he cogido de Pinterest  y aunque las fundas son más habituales para proteger móviles y tablets me pareció una forma graciosa de cuidar mi adorada Moleskine.

  

Para hacerla he utilizado unos ovillos de lana que tenía por casa buscando un color que fuera a juego con mi agenda: morado oscuro y un pequeño corazón bordado en  lila.

Puede que no sea un gran invento, pero es una de esas pequeñas cosas que hacen la vida más divertida.

 

 

This is one of those DIY that I regret not being the first to think about it: a knitted cover for the daily planner.

 

I took the idea from Pinterest and although covers are more likely to protect mobile phones and tablets I found it was a funny way of taking care of my beloved Moleskine.

 

I made it using some spare yarn skeins I had at home looking for a colour that would match with my daily planner: dark purple and a small embroidered heart in lilac.

It may not be a great invention, but it is one of those little things that make life much more enjoyable.
 

 

 

 

Inspiración: Decorar con pompones de lana / Inspiration: Decorating with wool pom poms

Normalmente los pompones de lana se utilizan para adornar gorros o ropa de niños, pero estas bolas de colores también pueden utilizarse para decorar la casa y objetos de nuestro día a día.

Hay gente a la que no le gustan nada, pero a mí me encantan los pompones  (tengo un tablero en Pinterest dedicado en exclusiva a los pompones) y ya he hecho algún pequeño DIY con ellos como es enseñaba aquí.

Así que... he hecho una selección con algunas ideas para decorar con pompones de lana y dar un poco de color a todo lo que nos rodea.

Usually wool pom poms are used as ornamentes on hats and kids clothes, but this coloured balls can also be used to decorate the house and everyday items.

Some people don't like them at all, but I love pom poms (I have a Pinterest board exclusively for pom poms) and I have already done a small DIY with them as I showed you here.

Durante mucho tiempo el búho ha sido el rey del mundo craft, pero ahora es el turno del zorro.
