El vestidito de Ane / Ane's little dress

Me encanta hacer cosas para niños, así que cuando me encargaron hacer un vestidito para Ane (la primita de Martina) me hizo mucha ilusión.

 

El patrón original era una camiseta de un catálogo de Phildar, pero la mamá de Ane quería que fuera un vestido corto, así que tuve que adaptar el patrón a sus medidas. También pensó que quedaría muy bien  con una braguita a juego. Siguiendo otro modelo de la misma marca le propuse hacer una de lunares con el color que ella quisiera y dio en el clavo eligiendo un tono coral claro.

A la vista del resultado creo que hacemos un buen equipo.


I love making things for kids, so when I received an order to make a little dress for Ane (Martina's dear cousin) I was very excited.

The original pattern was a top from a  Phildar  catalogue, but Ane's mom wanted it to be a short dress, so I had to adjust the pattern to her measures. She also thought that it would look very well with a matching bloomer. Basing on a pattern from the same Brand I proposed to make one with dots in a colour of her choice and she hit the mark choosing a light coral shade.

Taking a look at the result I think we make a great team.

En  Pinterest  siempre encuentro un montón de cosas con las que soñar, como el bolso Havana Tote  que con su color, su estilo marinero y sus pompones es el bolso de verano perfecto.

I always find a lot of things to dream of on  Pinterest, like the  Havana Tote bag which with its colour, its navy style and the pom poms is the perfect summer bag.

Casi dos meses después por fin tengo tiempo para dedicarle a mi regalo de cumpleaños...

Almost two months later I finally have to time to work on my birthday gift...

Inspiración: Cupcakes / Inspiration: Cupcakes

Los cupcakes  no sólo están deliciosos, sino que también están por todas partes.

En España podemos decir que llegaron de la mano de Carrie Bradshaw cuando en un episodio de "Sexo en Nueva York" la vimos degustar uno junto a Miranda en la ahora famosa  Magnolia Bakery.

Desde entonces, estas magdalenas de colores se han ido introduciendo en nuestras vidas hasta convertirse en auténticos objetos de culto.

Su dulce colorido y alegres formas les han permitido salir de la cocina e incorporarse a objetos cotidianos aportando un toque naïf  a nuestro día a día.

Si alguien quiere experimentar en la cocina, os recomiendo las recetas de Bakerella  (sus instrucciones y fotos dan ganas de ponerse a cocinar).

Por el momento, yo me limito a reproducirlos en punto para decorar la casa con esta dulce tendencia.

Cupcakes are not only delicious, but they are also everywhere.

In Spain we got to know them thanks to Carrie Bradshaw when in one of the episodes of "Sex and the City" she ate one with Miranda at the famous  Magnolia Bakery.

Since then, these coloured madeleines have entered into our lives to become true cult objects.

Their sweet colours and cheerful forms have allowed them to get out of the kitchen and to introduce themselves into common objects giving a naïf touch to our daily routine.
