Happy (Birthday) Weekend

Ayer fue mi cumpleaños y, como todos los años, me he hecho un auto-regalo con cosas que me encantan pero que nunca me decido a comprar.

Mi lista de deseos es muy amplia, pero este año me he decidido por tres cosas que están relacionadas con el punto:

• un ovillo de Knit Collage  (podéis ver aquí lo muchísimo que me gusta esta marca); 
• unas agujas de tejer de madera pintadas a mano de Peace Fleece  (llevaba años detrás de ellas); y,
• la edición de diciembre 2013 de pom pom quarterly  (este ha sido un capricho de última hora porque es un descubrimiento reciente).

Como veis me estoy adelantando al invierno, pero es que ya tengo unas cuantas cosas pensadas para  hacer cuando vuelva el frío...

Today it is my birthday and, as every year, I've made myself a gift with some things that I've wanted for a long time but I never decided to buy.

My wishlist is very big, but this year I have chosen three things related to knitting:

• a skein of   Knit Collage (you can see here how much I like this brand);
• a pair of  Peace Fleece hand painted wooden knitting needles (I've wanted them for years); and,
• the December 2013 issue of  pom pom quarterly (this has been a last minute whim as it is a recent discovery).

As you can see I am skipping into winter, but I already have a bunch of things in mind to make when cold weather is back...

Inspiración: Sophie Digard / Inspiration: Sophie Digard

Sophie Digard  es una diseñadora textil parisina de la que ya os hablé hace unos meses cuando os enseñé unos patucos que me tenían enamorada (podéis hacer memoria aquí).

Sus creaciones de punto y ganchillo son sobre todo accesorios (bufandas, bolsos, collares, broches, etc..) con un importante elemento común: el color.

En cada uno de sus trabajos utiliza múltiples combinaciones de color lo que junto a la infinidad de sus diseños da lugar a piezas únicas, auténticas obras de arte.

Ya sabéis que yo soy una apasionada del color, así que Sophie Digard ocupa un lugar importante entre mis creadores favoritos.

Sophie Digard is a parisian knitwear designer I told you about some months ago when I showed you a pair of baby booties I was in love with (you can remember them here).

Her knit and crochet creations are mostly accesories (scarves, handbags, necklaces, brooches, etc...) with a key common element: colour.

In each of her works she uses numerous colour combinations which together with her huge number of designs results in one of a kind creations, true works of art.

You already know that I am passionate about colour, so  Sophie Digard occupies an important place among my favorite designers.

Pequeños caprichos confesables / Little confessable whims: Pom Pom quarterly

Cuando a principios de mayo descubrí la revista Pom Pom quarterly  fue un auténtico flechazo, así que no pude resistirme a comprar el número de verano 2014.

Hoy, por fin, lo he recibido y al abrir el sobre ha sido genial ver lo bonito que era el embalaje con pegatina de agradecimiento personalizada. A mí estas tonterías me pueden, así que no me puede gustar más...

En breve prometo un post con más detalle sobre  Pom Pom  porque merece la pena.

When at the beginning of May I discovered  Pom Pom quarterly magazine it was love at first sight, so I couldn't resist myself buying the Summer 2014 issue.

Today, at last, I received it and when I've opened the envelope it was great to see how pretty the packaging was with a customised thank you sticker. I love these silly things, so I just can't like it more...

I promise a more detailed post about  Pom Pom shortly because it is worth it.

Happy (Crafting) Weekend

El fin de semana ya está otra vez aquí y, aunque todavía no lo he terminado, he avanzado bastante en mi último proyecto.

En realidad es medio experimento mío, así que estoy deseando terminarlo para ver si he acertado en mis cálculos...

The weekend is here again and, eventhough it's not finished yet, I've progressed quite a lot on my last project.

Actually it is half my experiment, so I am really looking forward to finishing it to see whether my calculations were right...
