Adiós, Febrero / Bye bye, February

El mes de febrero es el más corto de todos pero este año puedo decir que a mí me ha cundido bastante (por lo menos en lo que al mundo virtual se refiere).

Empecé el mes tejiendo otro gorro Chai para una amiga, justo a tiempo para que la ola de frío que llegaba a Burgos no la pillara desprevenida.

Justo unos días después me enteré de que mi hack de IKEA para hacer una funda de ganchillo para el taburete BEKVÄM aparecía en el blog alemán "New Swedish Design", ya os podéis imaginar la ilusión que me hace. Hasta ahora es mi entrada más popular con diferencia, así que me gusta pensar que mi adicción a IKEA se está viendo recompensada.

Sin embargo este mes la entrada que más visitas ha recibido ha sido la de las muñequitas Waldorf y no me extraña porque es imposible resistirse a tanta bonitez...

Además he podido confirmar que los conjuntos de bebé son las fotos que más triunfan en mi cuenta de Instagram (Camilla Babe y Mon Petit Coeur han sido todo un éxito).

Y... para no perder las buenas costumbres he recuperado la tradición de compartir mis DIY favoritos con estas cestitas de ganchillo tan ideales.

Estoy deseando ver todas las cosas buenas que va a traer el mes de marzo...


The month of February is the shortest of them all but this year I can say that I've made the most of it (at least as far as the virtual world is concerned).

I started the month knitting another Chai hat for a friend, just in time to avoid that the cold wave arriving to Burgos (Spain) could caught her unaware.

Just a few days later I knew that my IKEA hack to make a crochet cover for BEKVÄM stool appeared on the German blog "New Swedish Design", you can already imagine how happy it makes me. Until the date it is by far my most popular post, so I like to think that my addiction to IKEA is being rewarded.

However the post that has received more visits this month was the one about the little Waldorf dolls and I am not surprised as it is impossible to resist so much cutenes...

In addition I've been able to confirm that my baby outfits are the most appealing pictures on my Instagram account ( Camilla Babe and  Mon Petit Coeur were a true success).

And... trying not to lose good habits I've retaken my tradition of sharing my favorite DIYs with these ideal crochet baskets.

I am looking forward to all the goods things that the month of March will bring...

Mon Petit Coeur ♥

Esta semana os traigo otro conjunto de bebé, seguro que ya lo estabais echando de menos....

En esta ocasión se trata de un regalo para una niña recién nacida que podría considerar una cliente VIP porque el primer jersey de bebé que hice fue para su hermanita en 2013 (el precioso kimono gris que podéis ver aquí).

Desde entonces he hecho muchas prendas para bebé pero todavía no había tejido ningún conjunto en amarillo y eso que es uno de mis colores favoritos, así que esta me pareció la ocasión perfecta.

Tenía claro que el modelo tenía que ser "Mon Petit Coeur" de Nadia Crétin-Léchenne y es que desde que descubrí su libro "Layette " estaba buscando una excusa para tejerlo (otro día os hablo del libro porque tiene unos patrones súper bonitos).

Para completar el conjunto no podían faltar unos patucos, así que recurrí de nuevo al mismo patrón que utilicé para hacer estos patucos porque hasta ahora es uno de los modelos que más me han gustado.

El conjunto puede parecer un poco sencillo pero a mí me encanta como queda en color amarillo.


This week I am showing you another baby outfit, I am sure you were already missing it...

This time it is a gift for a newborn baby girl that I could consider a VIP customer as the first baby sweater I knitted was for her little sister in 2013 (the beautiful grey kimono you can see here).

Since then I've made many baby clothes but I hadn't knitted any outfit in yellow yet and so considering that it is one of my favorite colours, so I thought this would be the perfect occasion.

It was clear to me that the pattern had to be "Mon Petit Coeur" by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne as since I discovered her book "Layette" I've been looking for an excuse to knit it (another day I will talk to you about the book because it includes really beautiful patterns).

To finish the outfit I couldn't miss a pair of booties, so I used again the same pattern that I followed to make these booties because until now it is one of the designs that I liked the most.

The outfit may seem a little bit simple but I love how it looks in yellow colour.

Mis DIY favoritos / My favorite DIYs # 19 - Mini granny square crochet baskets

Desde siempre me han encantado las cajas, botes, cestas... y demás objetos de almacenamiento así que hacer unas cestitas de ganchillo me parece un DIY de lo más práctico y divertido.

La idea la descubrí en Pinterest hace tiempo y me gustó mucho porque es muy fácil de hacer y me parece una buena oportunidad para utilizar restos de ovillos (ya veis que yo sigo con mi objetivo de reducir stash en mente).

Podéis encontrar el tutorial detallado en This Little Street y el dato curioso es que hasta hace poco no me había dado cuenta de que su autora es Victoria alias Vika Moka a quien sigo en Instagram desde hace unos meses (¡me encanta cuando ocurren estas maravillosas casualidades!).

¿No me digáis que las cestas no son una monada?

I have always loved boxes, pots, baskets... and any other storage objects so I find making crochet mini baskets a very practical and entertaining DIY.

I discovered the idea on Pinterest some time ago and I liked it a lot because it is very easy to make and it seems a good opportunity to use skein leftovers (you see that my goal of reducing stash is still on my mind).

Toddler Fingerless Gloves

En enero fue el segundo cumpleaños de mi sobrina Nora y, además de la muñequita Waldorf y otras cositas, le regalé unos mitones de ganchillo hechos por mí.

Tenía fichado el patrón "Toddler Fingerless Gloves" desde que descubrí a Crochet Latte y me quedé fascinada por sus originales diseños de ganchillo, así que estoy contenta de haber terminado un proyecto más de mi lista.

La verdad es que cada vez se me hace más difícil hacer ropa para mi sobrina porque me lleva bastante tiempo prepararla y no siempre es fácil acertar con la talla porque crece muy rápido, pero con los accesorios siempre es más fácil tener éxito y le pueden durar un poquito más.

In January it was the second birthday of my niece Nora and, in addition to the Waldorf doll and some other things, I gifted her a pair of crochet mittens made by me.

I had an eye on " Toddler Fingerless Gloves" pattern since I discovered Crochet Latte and remained fascinated by her original crochet patterns, so I am happy to have finished one more project from my list.

The truth is that it is becoming more difficult to make clothes for my niece because it takes me quite a long time to have it ready and it is not always easy to get the right size as she is growing up very fast, but with accessories it is easier to suceed and they can last a little bit longer.
